Using the Monovette system in aspiration mode - correct use and applications.
Using the Monovette system in evacuated mode - correct use and applications.
4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

The absence of staff training, or requirement to complete additional training, was noted in a number of these cases.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">As a manager of a law firm, or more crucially an MLRO or MLCO, the ultimate responsibility for the firm&#39;s compliance, including with the MLR 2017, lies with you. It is your responsibility to ensure that the firm puts in place, reviews and updates compliant policies, controls and procedures. You must ensure that the firm maintains an up to date practice wide risk assessment. Our Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and Injection Course training kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available for you to add at time of booking. Training kits mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video instructions, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for your one full day to complete your cannulation and injection course training.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your cannulation course and one for your injection course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 and £39.95 respectively) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

Our popular Introduction to Phlebotomy Course also trains you to perform venepuncture at Advanced Level. We offer both classroom and virtual classroom options for this course and a comprehensive Practise@Home Training Kit is provided for our virtual classroom option. Both options are accredited at Advanced Level.
If you already have phlebotomy skills (or decide to enroll on our phlebotomy training course) then you will be able to offer your clients Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments, also known as Vampire Facials. Our PRP (Vampire Facials) Course trains you in the harvesting, preparation and treatment of PRP for application to your clients as required. We offer both classroom and virtual classroom options for this course and a comprehensive Practise@Home Training Kit is provided for our virtual classroom option. Both options are accredited at Foundation Degree Level.
