The International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) of Singapore is pleased to announce the establishment of its UK Chapter in London on 20th October 2021. The IFSA is a non-profit organisation that was founded in Singapore on May 8th 2004 by a passionate community of Feng Shui masters, practitioner, academics, and other experts in Chinese metaphysics. Its aim is to assist the global cultivation, awareness and appreciation of traditional Chinese Feng Shui and to foster the highest standards of competence and practice within this industry. The IFSA also aims to assist all traditional Feng Shui Practitioners, by engaging in various events and educational activities designed to promote to traditional Chinese. The benefits of being a member include: a. Membership of a reliable organisation headed by no less than 4 Feng Shui Grandmasters (GM Tan Khoon Yong, GM Vincent Koh, GM Raymond Lo, GM Dr Stephen Skinner). b. Access to an online Facebook closed group that allows you to ask questions (at whatever level) and to receive answers from acknowledged Masters. c. Many visitors to Brecon walk to the Usk bridge from where they can photograph the Beacons. In the foreground is a group of buildings which are also worth the visitor’s attention. At the entrance to these buildings a board tells the visitor this is Christ College, founded by royal charter in 1541. That is only half the story of this site which has been occupied for over seven hundred and fifty years. The history of Christ College falls into three unequal periods. For three hundred years it was a Dominican friary; in 1541 Henry VIII established a school here and finally in 1855 the modern ‘public’ school was founded by Act of Parliament. The surviving buildings reflect each of the three periods. The Dominicans were friars who first came to Britain in 1221; they are first mentioned as being at Brecon in 1269. Given that range of dates and the evidence of the surviving medieval buildings, it is likely that the friary was founded c.1250.

The Food Partnership was started by local residents in 2003, and our committed team of staff & volunteers deliver a range of food projects which have helped over 15,000 local people learn to cook, grow their own food, eat a healthier diet and waste less. Eating is central to life’s celebrations and memories, and our approach is to use this power of food to bring about change. Much of our work benefits vulnerable adults and people experiencing deprivation, isolation, poor health and other life challenges. Our activities makes lasting changes to habits and behaviours which improve lives. We’re a not-for-profit organisation and we work with a wide range of partners including community organisations, statutory agencies, local businesses and individual residents. Our work has been recognised by independent bodies – most recently awarded ‘Non profit of the year’ 2019 at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards, ‘Team of the Year’ at the Cost Sector Catering Awards 2019 and the ‘Community Benefit Award’ at the 2019 Southeast RICS awards for the build project to create the Community Kitchen. We led Brighton & Hove’s successful submission for ‘Gold Sustainable Food City’ status. We hold the PQASSO Level 2 quality mark, and are proud to be a Living Wage employer.
