After several years of experience teaching EAL to all age groups, she began teaching IB Diploma Programme English and ToK in 2002. Since then she has also taken on the roles of examiner and workshop leader for the IB. Her perspective has been shaped and informed by her varied experience and her teaching in very different and diverse contexts in Greece, Germany, the UK and China. Additionally, her experience from working at residential schools has enhanced her awareness of the impact of holistic education on teaching and lifelong learning. Her understanding of the challenges of the interaction of national curricula with the IB Diploma Programme as well using English as the medium of instruction in international schools have become an integral feature of her professional agenda. The administrative positions she has also held -IB Diploma Programme Coordinator and Head of English- inform not only her understanding of contextual and pedagogical implications for the teaching of English for both students and teachers, but also the impact of secondary education on raising internationally-minded global citizens who will continue to learn, earn and contribute to a sustainable future for all. Anna has a passion for reading, for learning that challenges expectations and curricula, for asking searching questions, as well as for strategic thinking for educational institutions. She is the author of several academic papers in Theoretical Linguistics and her most recent writing project being the Oxford University Press English A: Literature Course Companion for the new IB Diploma Programme curriculum (first teaching 2019). Between workshops, consultancies, writing and assignments, she enjoys reading, blogging and spending time with her children, her friends and her former students, wherever they are.

The workshop tutors will teach the theatre lovers all they need to know about their chosen show, including tailor made script, songs and choreography. Have you always wanted to learn how to weave?  Sarah Ward, Founder of Lark & Bower offers a variety of online weaving workshops including 'off-loom weaving', rock weaving, paper weaving and also darning and visible mending. 'Off-Loom' weaving is essentially weaving without a loom, around found objects like wood, tiles or rocks, using needle and thread.  It's brilliant for first time weavers, as it helps us to understand the basics of woven structure, without the added complexity of the loom. These workshops are suitable for all ages and all levels, from total beginner, to seasoned weavers - so if you're thinking of taking up weaving, or just looking for a new direction to take your craft, these workshops are a great place to start! The main focus of the workshop is the simple twill, and from there, we'll try a dogtooth, and even a check! We'll play with colour, texture and pattern and discover the magic of weaving. It's simpler than it looks! As an environmental activist, the main focus of Sarah's work is to share knowledge through craft. She uses her woven work to advocate weaving as an art form, encouraging the learning and passing on of skills in traditional crafts, keeping the ancient craft alive but also raising awareness about waste and the impact of fast fashion on our planet.

We have a large selection of affordable pottery suitable for all the family to create your own masterpiece. As some of you know, Pot-Sian was originally located at the 'Green shed' also known as Derw Stores in Caerwedros, which you may recognise from the photos. Unfortunately, we had to close in 2020 due to the pandemic. pottery workshop ceredigionWe are in the process of building a new studio but for the time being, we are offering take-home kits for you to paint in the comfort of your own home. Also, after a successful summer last year, we will again have a comfortable painting studio within a good sized gazebo in our garden! *This will be available during the summer months (unfortunately, it is not available over Easter). The gazebo caters for family-sized groups of up to 8 people. Booking ahead is required. We will have two 3-hour sessions a day to choose from. 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm. These time slots allow us to clean and sanitize the area and equipment between groups. MOBILE POTTERYMobile Pottery Studio Our mobile pottery studio has in the past attended school fairs, various venues for groups, parties, and corporate events. Our aim is to continue this service. Sending you a very warm welcome from Brighton. If we've met you'll know me as Yas or Yasmin and if not I hope our paths connect one day soon! In my late teens I developed a keen interest in natural health & wellness, as a result of losing my wonderful mother to cancer. This would eventually lead me to Thailand and India where I would learn about Ayurveda, Shamanic Medicines, Detoxing & Cleansing and the value of natural living. I would come to learn the importance of health from the inside out and the integral balance of mind, body & spirit. A few years later I started to delve into the world of yoga and soon began to rely on my practice, as it brought me a sense of peace that I had not yet experienced. This led me to complete my Teacher Training along with many other courses and workshops, helping me to deepen my knowledge and understanding of this beautiful practice. My travels also afforded me the privilege of learning meditation with Buddhist monks. I have always been inspired by those who live yoga as a way of life and I am unbelievably passionate about sharing this practice with others. SET is currently home to over 500 artists and has a membership of over 1000. SET hosts artists working in a variety of practices and disciplines from text, performance and installation to music, sound, print, textiles and more. SET currently has 6 centres in London. The SET New Cross project space is home to our main exhibition programme, whilst SET Dalston hosts our social space & bar and our performance space & music venue. Each SET centre is home to a variety of artists workspaces: from desk space to light industrial units. Each SET centre is hosted in otherwise vacant property, some temporary and some long term.
