We are a friendly and committed group, running day and evening ceramics groups for all abilities. Our workshop is part of Farnham Pottery in Wrecclesham, a listed building of great character dating back to 1872 and one of the finest examples of its type left in England. The classes were established by Farnham School of Art more than 50 years ago and have maintained a strong reputation for the quality of teaching. WSP aims to develop students’ creative abilities through the acquisition of practical skills and an appreciation of the broader aspects of ceramics whilst nurturing a creative community. We are open to anyone interested in ceramics. Throughout the year we arrange social events and demonstrations which often involve the wider community.

The Bat Conservation Trust supports local bat groups across the UK and nearly 5,000 members. We work with volunteers, scientists, industry and government both locally and nationally on a range of projects. To achieve our vision of a world rich in wildlife where bats and people thrive together, our work focuses on discovering more about bats and how they use the landscape, taking action to protect bats and enhance the landscapes on which they rely, inspiring people about bats and their environment, engaging them in their conservation and strengthen our work by building skills, resources, motivation and understanding. Bats are fascinating animals – the only true flying mammal. There are over 1,400 species of bats in the world, and more are still being discovered. Bats account for more than a quarter of mammal species in the UK and around 20% of all mammal species worldwide.

The farm is a fantastic facility which enhances student learning at Oathall in many different ways. We are able to offer recognised vocational qualifications in this field but many different subject areas use it in a practical way to aid learning including art, maths, English, science and even ICT. Oathall Farm’s contribution both as a curricular support and to students personal development is nationally recognised as outstanding as you can see from this quote from an Ofsted inspector following a visit: “The farm is a centre of excellence for the college, the local community and for schools nationally and internationally. It provides memorable experiences and cross-curricular learning, generates an impressive network of partnerships, makes community cohesion an exceptionally strong and working reality and motivates students of all abilities.” There has been a farm at Oathall for over 70 years, it was established in the Second World War and is now made up of extensive fields, animal enclosures, a large barn and glasshouse to grow seasonal plants. We keep a variety of livestock including pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In recent years we’ve welcomed visitors such as HRH Prince of Wales and Alan Titchmarsh to the farm as well as hundreds of school and community groups. Each May we hold an open day on the farm, please keep an eye on the school calendar for more information closer to the time.

Crewe Judo Club was founded in 1981 by Sensei Alf Coyles, with CJC then being afiliated to the Budo Association of Great Britain. In 1992, Chris Sharpe took over as Head Coach at Crewe and over the years the club has celebrated many successes. The club offers a range of affordable classes for all age groups from the age of 5 upwards and for all abilities. We run separate junior and senior classes and as well as tournament judo, we also ensure that the traditional aspects of judo are preserved with a monthly kata session, where kata is taught in all the classes. So it is not unusual to see our 5 year olds pratising Go No Sen No Kata. Our club is friendly and professional, with all our coaches holding UKCC coaching qualifications, first aid certificates and child protection qualified. We welcome new members and also visitors from other clubs are always welcome. The Head Coach of Crewe Judo Club is now 2019 Commonwealth Champion Tess Jones, a 4th Dan Black Belt. She is assisted at the club by coaches Neil Dunn and Stuart Bromhead. Stage 1: Hayley Poppleton, a qualified teacher from Cambridge University studied the impacts of tuition on student engagement and performance. Her dissertation found small-group tuition, delivered in-person, develops students' critical thinking and analytical skills far beyond one-to-one learning. The small-group environment creates a positive, competitive space, for the 'best learning' to be shared amongst students meaning each child hears the 'best response', the 'best answer' or the 'best method' from their peers. This practice increases the working grades of the group, who subsequently out-performed students receiving one-to-one tuition. Stage 2: Hayley further investigated how specific learning techniques in the small-groups could progress students further. Hayley found when tuition was delivered in a fun, engaging and hands-on way, making resources tangible and memorable students were significantly more engaged, remembered the learnt materials for longer periods and performed better than students who learnt from online resources. Her dissertation and findings received a distinction and an honoury message from the Dean at Cambridge University's Education Faculty. Stage 3: Other parents started to notice the improvement in their child from Hayley's small-group tuition method which led to Elite Tuition Cambridge. Today, we have helped over 115 students in Cambridgeshire by getting them to love the learning experience and progress beyond their targets.

The charity originally called South Cumbria Rape and Abuse Service (SCRAS), was established by Christine Birchall in 1991 as a community response to the lack of support for rape and sexual abuse victims in the local area. It originally operated as an entirely volunteer based organisation supported by community fundraising. The organisation has successfully developed into an established service provider, whilst still retaining its original ethos and local identity. All of our staff are qualified to the relevant level and counsellors are registered with BACP/BAPT – if required clients can request to view training certificates or accreditation awards to verify competency. We are a registered charity (number: 1109637), and a company limited by guarantee (number: 5424196) ●We provide face to face and remote trauma informed counselling services ● We deliver play therapy, creative and sand tray therapy for children aged 4 and above ●We offer pre-trial therapy sessions to adults and children whilst involved in the criminal justice process ●We work with parents, carers, families, and friends of people affected by rape, sexual abuse, or sexualised violence ●We hold groups, peer support sessions and offer outdoor therapies ●We deliver educational programmes, training, and consultancy to other agencies – voluntary and statutory ●We have online digital information and resources ●We raise awareness of the wider issues around rape, sexual abuse, or sexualised violence within our community

Our Eco-Schools Scotland programme is part of the largest sustainable schools programme in the world (run by Foundation for Environment Education or FEE) and enables schools in Scotland to take action on climate change and Learning for Sustainability and to attain the international Green Flag Award.

Aspire Gymnastics Academy has been proudly operating within the London Borough of Havering since April 2006. Aspire aim to provide a safe, effective and child-friendly environment in which the members can participate in Gymnastic activities under the guidance of appropriately qualified coaches. We operate an open philosophy and welcome the support of parents and guardians. Wherever possible we will enable you to observe training sessions provided that it does not contravene our Health and Safety regulations. We also encourage and value parental involvement in the club. The members of the club are organised into groups according to their age, gender, ability, experience and individual needs, and coaches will be pleased to discuss the training programmes and your child’s needs with you. We provide a child/member centred, coach led programme and will endeavour to help your child develop to their optimum level of performance. Our coaches are all British Gymnastics qualified coaches at the appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability to work with children. A Welfare Officer is appointed by the club to deal with any safety issues. The club has adopted the British Gymnastics policies for Child Protection, Equity and Codes of Conduct and all officials, coaches, members and parents must adhere to these policies. Aspire has also received the “Gym Mark” accreditation which recognises our club as achieving an excellent standard against strict criteria.

East of England Training are located between Stowmarket and Diss and deliver HSE-compliant courses such as First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Safety throughout East Anglia, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire as well as further afield. Our clients include national and local business, schools and communities with courses being delivered both indoors and out in sometimes very remote environments. Following 25 years in the military police, Andy Davidson retrained as a compliance trainer and formed East of England Training to bring together all the courses that he offers. Andy loves working with people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds and gets a real buzz from their participation and enjoyment. Some of his groups have included: WI organisations, school staff, Forest School and Outdoor Learning practitioners, government organisations, charities, new parents and grandparents and children of school age. Every course is tailored to clients’ needs and all of the courses that you see on this website can be styled to suit your individual requirements. A large proportion of Andy’s time is spent writing and delivering bespoke courses for clients. You can see the range of courses currently offered, but this is growing and developing all the time.
