Who is n-ergy? n-ergy is an independent specialist training provider whose story began in 2007 when n-ergy was set up by award-winning entrepreneur, Donna Turner-Kot, to work with offenders and ex-offenders throughout the UK. n-ergy’s head office is based in Bridgend, South Wales and operates across England and Wales. What do we do? n-ergy is a passionate advocate of supporting hard-to-reach individuals develop new skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications prior to release. n-ergy provides a seamless service by delivering vocational training, short courses and employability programmes to those in custody; followed by employment support so they may secure sustainable work on release, successfully re-integrate into their local communities and make a fresh start! Who works for n-ergy? n-ergy currently employs 20+ people across Wales and England. All of n-ergy’s Training Advisors deliver vocational training within a number of prison establishments located in North and South Wales and the following regions in England: South Central, Midlands and the North West. n-ergy’s business support functions are based at its Head Office in South Wales. As an advocate of supporting ex-offenders into sustainable employment on release, n-ergy has employed a number of individuals on ROTL and ex-offenders on release within its business within its business support functions.

ABC Paramedic Services was set up by our Training and Event Manager, Craig Gray. Craig spent fifteen years working in front line Emergency Services within the Scottish Ambulance Service in Edinburgh. The final six years of this was spent as a First Response Paramedic on a Rapid Response Vehicle dealing predominately with Class A / Red (i.e. potentially life threatening) emergencies. In 2011 Craig became the first Paramedic in the history of the Scottish Ambulance Service to be awarded ‘The Chief Executive’s Special Award’ for displaying the highest levels of commitment and professionalism in his job. Craig’s considerable knowledge and expertise extends to the private sector including delivering First Aid Training to Healthcare Professionals, courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, and providing Medical Cover at events such as ‘T in the Park’, ‘The Edinburgh Tattoo’ and the ‘Queen’s Garden Party’. In 2012, Craig provided Paramedic level cover as Chief Medical Officer at the ‘Urdd National Eisteddfod’ festival in Wales with over 100,000 spectators in attendance. Craig has also employed his medical skills for charitable causes, running a medical clinic in a remote part of North East India as well as being involved in a pioneering ‘out of hospital Cardiac Arrest’ study aimed at improving CPR skills. Craig takes a very personal, hands-on approach to the business and is actively involved in the strategic developments of all training, events, and projects.

At 14-16 (Key Stage 4) we provide a core education in GCSEs English, Maths and Double Science as well a specialist technical route in either in Engineering, Health Sciences or Digital Technology (from September 2022). In the Sixth Form (Key Stage 5) you can continue the same three pathways following courses up to an equivalent of 3 A Levels. The primary focus of our UTC is to provide students with an educational experience which prepares them for employment in either engineering, health or the world of digital technology. These three industries provide huge employment opportunities for young people when they leave school or university. A UTC education is built upon the principles of employability and the skills required to be successful at work. What makes our education pathways different is that our curriculum is built to work in partnership with employers. A range of industrial and university partners provide experiences for students which stretch beyond the school setting. South Devon UTC opened in 2015 as an engineering centre with specialist equipment which enriches and enhances the educational experience for students. Since March 2021 the UTC has become part of Education South West, a large multi academy trust stretching across South Devon. This new partnership has resulted in significant investment to develop facilities and provide new pathways in Health Sciences from September 2021 and Digital Technology from 2022.

Leona Creator of Artists Resource & Lead Facilitator Leona created Artists Resource in 2011 with the Mission “To bring people together, to nurture Creativity and facilitate Transformation – for the benefit of the individual and the community.” She started with one small Art club in North London and in just a couple of years had grown to teaching in Schools every day and hosting Art Parties and Classes at the weekend. In 2018-19, Leona has provided Art workshops for the England football team and BAFTA. Leona has a strong background in material processes and techniques, having a degree in Applied Arts and applying that throughout her career. Prior to setting up Artists Resource, Leona worked for a Art & Craft company, managing concession stands in Harrods, Hamleys and UK Trade Fairs and made Mosaic Murals for School Playgrounds with a local Artist. She also worked on the Art Dept for various independent short and feature films. Leona has specialised in Sculpture and Mosaic Art has her own Public Artworks in Mile End (E3), Muswell Hill (N10) and in various public and private sites in London. This is where Nutrition Science meets creativity. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine, a background in education, a creative flare and a strong desire to motivate human connection. These I blend in order to offer sound nutritional knowledge and motivation to push forward with healthy living and being. I offer a variety of nutrition based services including 1-1 consultations, Functional Medicine testing, health workshops, 'Cleanse' courses, lectures, menu creation, product reviews and articles on nutrition, food and lifestyle. I also work as a 1-1 nutritionist for the wonderful company’ Health Path’. There is a common aim - to inspire better mental and physical health in whatever way this is best achieved. Located in West Sussex, I work in London, Brighton and surrounding areas. My days are spent nourishing, advising, educating and supporting clients on obtaining healthier and happier lifestyles. Annually, I take clients abroad to ‘cleanse’ body and soul. One of my cleanse locations is Gozo, a rustic island off Malta. This is the perfect location for taking time out in a supported and empowering environment. In 2022, I worked with the Wild View Retreat team in Portugal on a juice fast week of health rejuvenation. It was wonderful. I am thrilled to be joining them again for 4 weeks of cleansing in 2023.
