Managing Mountain Bike Trail Facilities: If you are managing a facility or want to learn about the design, build, inspection, and maintenance of mountain bike trails then I am only too happy to help. Through my work with the Association of Trail Builders (ATB) and years of first-hand experience on the job designing, building inspecting, and maintaining trail networks I can deliver ATB training courses in all areas relating to trails and their management. She founded and operated an upscale interior design and home furnishings consignment store before retiring to NC. Vice-President: Nancy Miller - Nancy, a new resident of SC, recently retired from her professional fundraising career in Baltimore, MD. having worked for Easter Seals, The National Defense University Foundation, and most recently, the American Cancer Society. Treasurer: Janet Payeski - Janet is enjoying the vast opportunities the Grand Strand area offers artists. Formerly a part-time resident, she moved here full-time recently and hopes that her 30-year background in Finance, including Cash Management and Financial Analysis, brings helpful skills to the Treasurer position. Secretary: Lynn Buck - Lynn is a pastel artist and former resident of CT. She became interested in pastels 20 years ago and trained under a local artist. She works mostly in pastel, but also in watercolor and acrylics. She lives in Carolina Shores with her husband, dog and cat. We offer customised training opportunities on a range of open courses for a wide variety of job and life skills opportunities through one-to-one learning support, individual learning plan, progress reviews and advice and guidance. We have delivered programmes ranging from privately funded courses to ESA, EFA 16-18, Traineeship, Apprenticeship, Advanced Learning Loan and Adult Education contracts from entry level 1 to level 7. Our excellence in quality assurance, leadership, and project management have enabled the sustainability of our business, timely completion of our learners' courses and in getting to their destinations. Our average success rate since 2014 is ninety-eight percent. Zurbel Training works with local communities such as the Job Centre Plus, Connexions, Advice & Guidance and the Outreach Team in making sure candidates are guided on the right path. Our gratitude to our business partners working with us for our learners' work job placement, 95 per centre. With the support of our centre partners, courses are now delivered closer to learners' vicinity within their community. They also have the opportunity to study from home via our online E-portfolio assessment system. On completion, all our learners supported with progression route into further education or employment, where we offer them workshop activities on their CV writing, confidence building and job interviews techniques. General feedback from stakeholders i.e learners, employers, staff and funders have been so encouraging, in seeing learners achieving their aims. Established originally as a Drop in for local children run by local mothers the nursery grew from this into the setting that we have today, incorporating 3 classrooms alongside a dedicated Drop in which runs daily. The nursery is a registered charity and a not for profit organization. The nursery is run by a dedicated team of managers with Trustees and directors that are made up of parents from the nursery. This system allows all parents to get involved in the running of their child’s nursery both on the ground level and in the management side. The nursery is run by Vivien Moxam & Manisha Gorsia who have both been at the nursery well over 15 years, we are local to the Queens Park area and have worked closely with the community. Manisha Gorsia has been the manager for over 13 years and is passionate about the nursery, the children and is always looking at opportunities to build and develop the team and the practices at Hopscotch, Manisha wants all children to leave the nursery with confidence and the skills to go onto school. Manisha runs the team of 20 staff overseeing them on a daily basis with the help of her deputy and room leaders. Vivien Moxam joined the team over 15 years ago while her own children were attending the nursery & has since come on board as a Company Director. Manisha and Vivien work closely together to ensure the smooth running of Hopscotch, with Manisha being child facing & Vivien’s role is to over see the business aspect of the business.

Disability TrainingBascule Disability Training, was founded by Chris Jay. Chris is a recognised and prominent voice on the topic of disability awareness. Born with cerebral palsy, Chris has been a wheelchair user for over 20 years, and is an accomplished training facilitator, public speaker, guest spokesperson and writer on the topic of disability awareness. Prior to launching Bascule Disability Training, Chris worked as a Training Facilitator and Project Manager for the disability awareness charity- Enable Me, where he developed and delivered training programmes for businesses, universities and schools. He was later appointed as the Executive Chairman of the charity for three years where he steered the organisation back to its core mission of helping to raise awareness of disability in local, educational and business communities. His role as a Disability Awareness Trainer has allowed him to develop considerable knowledge and experience in assisting and supporting businesses and universities to develop organisational awareness through unique and bespoke training packages. He has worked with various organisations in numerous areas of business such as the banking and finance sector, (including Coutts Bank) and in the retail, education and the hospitality industry (including Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton Universities). His support and staff development programmes, interactive modules and workshops have provided workforces with a firmer understanding of disability and its organisational benefits. Based in Southampton, Chris is a Director of Great Ballard School, near Chichester- an Independent co-educational prep school. He is also a Freeman of the City of London through the Worshipful Company of Educators and a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

I enjoyed a very broad experience with Shell UK, spanning logistics and distribution, business-to-business marketing, retail sales, marketing communications and the exploitation of motor sport sponsorships, customer service, operations and career transition. During this time I was also invited to tutor with The Leadership Trust on their Leadership in Management programme. This increased my desire to transform the performance of both executives and senior managers; and by that, to improve organisational performance too. This interest led me to the world of HR and in particular, guiding organisations through down-sizing processes; and supporting people through the redundancy experience – empowering them to become more self-aware and articulate their value to new potential employers. Specialising at executive and senior manager levels, means I make a real difference to them as individuals, drawing out their real values that positively impact on performance, profitability and stakeholder esteem; and therefore benefit new roles or organisations. For over 25 years, I have provided specialist and focused support to executives and senior managers spanning all key disciplines and the entire spectrum of industry, public sector and 3rd sector organisations. My interest is always in finding a better way to help smooth the process; guiding clients in a more professional way through each stage of their career transition – always with high quality and unlimited 1:1 support – and a unique approach supported by technical reasoning and psychological evidence. A qualified, experienced Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor, I was born and grew up in Hayfield at the foot of Kinder Scout where the mass trespass paved the way for hillwalking as we know it. My grandfather raced at Le Mans with Rob Lawrie, a boot maker who supplied the Alpine Club expeditions and made boots for Hillary’s ascent of Everest. Given this background, it was inevitable I’d be involved in the outdoors. I love this history but am equally excited about helping future generations and those new to the mountains. I’ve worked in the outdoors since 2006. I believe education and learning is vital and that mountaineering can be a powerful tool to develop people – whether this is a long, life changing journey or simply climbing a single peak as one-off challenge. In addition to working as a Mountain Leader and Instructor my expertise in logistics, planning & project management means I have the capability to deliver highly successful events across a broad range of sectors. I provide logistical & event support services for adventurous activities & challenges to a range of customers including charities, schools, private companies & high net worth individuals. I enjoy a range of outdoor, active sports; hillwalking, skiing, climbing, sailing, cycling (on the road) and swimming in open water. I enjoy introducing the next generation to the outdoors – through the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and supporting primary schools. I’m based in Manchester and work predominantly in the Peak District, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Snowdonia, but I am UK mobile.
