Grayson Education was founded in 2013 with the aim of offering Chinese students the opportunity to access British Education. We set our base in the coastal city of Dalian and launched our first project within this city: a summer school course for Chinese students between the ages of 10-18. The two week programme was held at the prestigious Ardingly College in England, and consisted of intensive English classes and excursions to Oxford, Cambridge and the thrilling Thorpe Park. Due to the excellent marketing management, the programme was a resounding success, attracting more than 30 students. Alongside organizing summer school programmes, Grayson Education also provides an exclusive school placement service. Through working with our partners in both England and China, 2014 alone, has seen Grayson Education place students at some of the finest Independent schools in Britain. A partnership between Grayson Education and Siven Group. At Grayson, we understand that most students will require additional English language tuition beyond what is taught within schools throughout China before embarking on studies in England. Therefore, Grayson Education has begun working closely with Siven Learning Centre, in order to provide students with specialized English Language tuition, taught by qualified British teachers and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) holders. We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich.We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a CIO, formed in 2018 with the objective registered with the Charity Commission: To advance education for the public benefit on matters to do with the late medieval period, ie approx. 1330 to 1480 with a special focus on the heritage of Sandwich Town, Kent, in particular but not exclusively by providing a maritime and land based crafts “living museum”. Aims We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich. The base for our activities is the wooden boatyard building on the slipway by the Quay, the Sandwich Medieval Centre. A special focus is engaging with young people. In addition to the centre being an historically interesting visitor centre, it will also be the base for educating and mentoring juniors in medieval crafts and skills to ensure that the rich history of Sandwich in this period is not lost to future generations. Advances in information technology have enabled the “personalization” of the learning experience by providing access to learning and assessment resources – anywhere, anytime. eLearn.Punjab aims to facilitate and encourage the use of educational technologies by providing digitized content, relevant supplementary resources, and online assessment tools for students and educators. As a first step, digitized versions of science subject text books for 9th and 10th grades are being made available online – along with links to a sea of supplementary material available over the Web. In future, the same content may also be pre-loaded into laptops or tablets, or made available in the form of CDs. The introduction of online self-assessment features as well as centralized course/content management tools for public schools is also planned. We would like to make eLearn.Punjab a meaningful and exciting place for learners and educators to go to. Nicky Evans (the owner of Happy Tails) has lived in Merthyr Tydfil 2008. She has 4 dogs – a Whippet called Smudge, a Lurcher called Maisey, a Jack Russell Terrier called Bryn and a rescue lurcher called Dixie. Nicky Evans is a “Master Dog Trainer” with the Guild of Dog Trainers and is currently studying for a degree in Canine Behaviour and Psychology with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training (CIDBT). Nicky also has a diploma (with distinction) in Canine Health & Nutrition with The British College of Canine Studies. For the first time, ALSG is holding a virtual conference which given many of us are trying to catch up post pandemic (fingers crossed) as well as working, to then attend a conference this year seemed a lot to be asking. ALSG is excited, as not only is it the first conference we’ve hosted online but the programme is shaping up extremely well. The conference theme is ‘How to be an even better ALSG instructor’ and we’ve got some fantastic speakers delivering some really great content specifically designed to support our instructors and centres. Whilst there are a few sessions yet to be finalised, the programme so far will examine issues such as looking after yourself and your team, the effects of sleep deprivation on performance, as well as clinical matters such as changes in the UK to the major incident triage process and insights into pain and sedation management in children.
