As a signatory of the Registration Council for Dog Trainers and Behaviour Practitioners; and a supporting member of Qualified International Dog Training Instructors, I abide by the Companion Animal Welfare Council code of practice. I started working with dogs at the grass roots, as a dog walker. It began when I got my own dog, Bonnie, and a friend asked me if I would walk her dog too, on a professional basis. That seems like a lifetime ago now. And it goes deeper than that, as my childhood was enriched with a numerous, assortment of family dogs. It planted the seed. The dog walking business flourished and opened my eyes to the wonderful world of working with dogs. I wanted to explore more and so embarked on a practical course with a highly knowledgeable and experienced dog trainer. He has shared the art of pet dog training with me and taught me to instruct. I have been instructing owners in puppy training and dog training since 2014. My practical, reward based dog training experience is backed up with continued professional development and study. I have attended residential courses, workshops and seminars, including True2Life Dog Training and Behaviour, and the Canine Instructors' Academy, gaining diplomas, and I continue to study the science of behaviour with an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management.

…I’ve been painting almost all my life, as I didn’t stop when I left school. There were many years when I’d only do the odd sketch or painting as ‘real life’ took over, but I always wanted more. Once I’d made the decision to try to realise my childhood ambitions I gave myself up to it as completely as real life would allow. It’s taken a long time, but now I make art part of my daily life. Even though …It’s now ‘the job’, I still get a big kick out of drawing and painting. There’s nothing better that looking at what you’ve achieved and see it looking back at you. Knowing exhibition sales help with animal conservation is another bonus, but it’s equally exciting to get a pet portrait commission from someone, as it is to sell something in exhibition. A lot of my time is spent teaching art, mostly to retired people. I Believe …art plays a very important role in keeping people healthy. As a teaching Artist, I want to share my life-times experience of art with other people so they can enjoy it too. My workshops and classes are growing in popularity and it’s very satisfying, knowing people are choosing to learn from me. Fitness and wellbeing to me is not only an occupation; it’s a huge part of my lifestyle and one of my biggest passions. At 23 years old, I retired from the world of dance after qualifying at world class competition level. From then, I moved into the fitness industry and qualified as an Aerobics instructor, taking classes with up to 100 participants. During that time, I qualified with the YMCA and the RSA (Royal Society of Arts). As well as Aerobics, I have taught a large selection of group classes including Step, Pilates, Yoga, Circuit Training, Boxercise and Kettle Bells to name a few. I have a wealth of experience in the fitness industry and have worked with people from all walks of life to help them achieve their desired goals. Originally from Glasgow, I moved to London and lived there for over 20 years. In London I worked as a Personal Trainer as well as a health and confidence coach and clinical hypnotherapist and trained/coached clients on a one-to-one basis from the comfort of their own home. In 2019, I finally moved back to Glasgow so I could spend more quality time with my loved ones. I am a friendly, courteous and straightforward man who is extremely passionate about helping people live a happier life.
