I am an Addiction Specialist, an Author, Speaker, TV, Radio and Social Media personality, and respected pioneer in Addiction Consulting. I deliver life-changing material and personal expertise to shift clients towards a more fulfilling future. Through gaining personal empirical knowledge, I incorporate this experience along with research, training, and vocation in guiding those afflicted by trauma and addiction. My creation, The 'Buxy Recovery Process', will liberate thousands of people from their burdens. I am a recovered addict, an abuse victim, and above all a survivor. I talk candidly about my experiences to help others liberate themselves from the attachments to any addiction- food, drugs, sex, technology and more. My approach incorporates modalities that identify the subconscious reasons for the undesired behaviour, which reveals the path to healing and brings hope for a better future. Louise Carver BA (Hons) FInstLM Chartered MCIPD Louise is a former RAF senior officer and a highly capable and experienced learning and development practitioner, facilitator, presenter and mediator with over 30 years’ experience working in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She is passionate about putting motivated and capable individuals and teams at the heart of organisational success. Louise is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is recognised as an approved training provider by the ILM. She is also a qualified workplace mediator, able to help manage and resolve workplace conflict. She is passionate about developing successful leaders, people and teams, so that their talents are fully used and valued by their organisation. She has a Masters degree in Management of Training and Development, a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Development and is a qualified teacher. Being Swedish in origin I feel very strongly that our wellbeing and happiness should be more prominent in our way of life and the concept of Lagom, which means ‘just about right, not too much or too little’ is a key concept to Swedish people. This balance between work and pleasure is perhaps more clearly articulated in Scandinavia and sits well together with the key foundation of the Positive Psychology movement. After my initial Psychology degree I worked in the Further Education Sector and I still have a particular interest in adolescents and in Post 16 work. I did my Educational Psychology training at the Tavistock Clinic in London in the mid 90s, and I had a good grounding in Attachment and Resilience based frameworks as well as Family Therapy. Over the years, I have also specialised in specific learning difficulties as well as more recently in Positive Psychology with a particular interest in Coaching Psychology. Over the last year I have received Positive Psychology Coaching from one of Britain’s most well established Positive Psychologists, Miriam Akhtar. Being on the receiving end of good coaching has given me a personal insight into its transformational powers. Having been an educational psychologist for over 20 years in a number of different settings, including both Local Authorities and the Independent Sector, as well as assessments for students in Higher Education, I came across Positive Psychology when experiencing personal and health changes in my own life. I applied a number of Positive Psychology strategies such as The Keys To Happier Living, (See Action for Happiness below) and I learnt to keep my attention and focus in the right place in order to promote wellbeing. I learnt what my Character Strengths were which enabled me to see myself in a different light. I feel strongly that everybody would benefit from knowledge of these principles. I am therefore keen to provide Positive Psychology training and insights to individuals, families and schools. The company was founded in June 2011 by Buzz Bury, Sharon Phillips and Steve Burns after several months of discussions and business planning. The idea had been spurred on by significant cuts to public spending and the shift in emphasis for young people and community services to the development of social enterprise. Think Forward C.I.C. was created as the vehicle to provide services which benefit the local community, particularly young people and community groups.  The Team Steve Burns Steve has enjoyed a wonderful and challenging career in education for the last 22 years spanning the voluntary sector, social services, youth & community work, further education, and working with young people excluded from mainstream schools. His experience includes four years within a managerial position in a pupil referral unit in Blackpool. Steve is committed to life-long learning and has so far undertaken a MEd in special education, a post-graduate diploma in youth & community work and certificates in counselling, careers guidance, life-coaching and a Master Practitioner qualification in NLP. Buzz Bury Buzz is a qualified Youth and Community Worker with more than 28 years of experience ranging from club and issue-based work to management and staff development. He has significant experience in project management, particularly specialising in supporting art and creatively based activities and is an established and valued European Youth Work Trainer within the “Youth in Action” programme of the European Union. He has demonstrated innovative training delivery in the fields of “Youth Participation” and “Global Citizenship” as well as supporting international volunteer initiatives. Sharon Phillips Sharon has 16 years of experience working in services for young people, both in career guidance and in a leadership role for Integrated Youth Services provision. In her previous role at Blackpool Council she was the strategic and operational lead for training, development & accreditation for Blackpool Young People’s Services. Being passionately committed to youth workforce development, she is enjoying being back at the coal face delivering training and in her spare time (ha ha) is in the middle of studying for her Masters Degree in Youth and Community Work.

Started in 2017, Bristol Relationships is a fresh, dynamic, experience-led training initiative created by Barbara Bloomfield, Dominique Sakoilsky, Rex Baird and Zoe Baird. Barbara, Dominique and Rex have over fifty years of experience, with tens of thousands of contact hours of working with couples and, more recently, families between them. They all worked extensively together at Bristol Relate and, from 2007, were a core part of the team that pioneered the Family Counselling service there. All continue to have busy private practices. Now they are looking to share, expand and develop this body of knowledge and experience by offering specialist training to those interested working directly with human relationships. Zoe has a strong background in administration and organisation and is responsible for all the non-teaching aspects of Bristol Relationships. Barbara Bloomfield, MA Barbara Bloomfield Barbara has been a Counsellor for 23 years and a Counselling Supervisor for 15 years. She trained with Relate in relationship counselling and has completed over 16,000 hours of counselling and supervision during her career. In 2007, after taking a Diploma in Systemic Family Counselling, she, along with Dominique and Rex, started the Family Counselling service at Relate Avon. Barbara was a member of the Relate Domestic Abuse Training Team and has been a national spokesperson for Relate for many years, often quoted on tv, radio and media. She has written five books about relationships, one of which won a Time Out award in 1986. Her most recent book, Couple Therapy: Dramas of Love and Sex, is the world's first graphic novel about relationship counselling and is published in 11 languages. This book led to her working at Warsaw University in Poland with postgraduates. In 2017-18, Barbara won a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to study creative and innovative ways of working with relationships where neuro-diversity is an issue in Australia and North America. Barbara is a Director of Lapidus International, the expressive arts organisation that brings together creative writing and arts with better mental health. She has a master's degree in creative writing and taught undergraduates at Bath Spa University. Her life passion is to continue helping people to have better lives and connections through therapeutic creativity.
