With a degree in Graphic Design from the University of La Plata, Argentina, I worked in print production and logo design until I moved to the UK in 1999. I have always had a particular interest in Typography and Calligraphy, and gradually the latter took over. Since 2016, I have focused my career on teaching and producing calligraphy work. I co-founded Love Calligraphy, where I worked until April 2020. I worked with Kirsten Burke on special events through the North West for Jo Malone, Clinique, Molton Brown and La Mer during my time there. Additionally, I have collaborated with Simple Lettering Magazine in two articles about Traditional Copperplate. Now, I work independently from home to better fit my work around my family life. My efforts are entirely behind the CalligrAbility initiative. I am a member of NWCA [http://www.northwestcalligraphers.org.uk/], SSI [https://calligraphyonline.org/], SLLA [http://www.southlondonlettering.co.uk/] and CLAS [http://www.clas.co.uk/]. Since February 2020, I have been collaborating with Joy Daniels [http://joydanielscalligraphy.co.uk/] on the Copperplate Special Interest Group [http://www.clas.co.uk/copperplate-special-interest-group/]. I am also its representative on the CLAS's Management Committee. [https://www.clas.co.uk/committees/] I love travelling and attending calligraphy classes around the country. Meeting fellow calligraphers and great masters keep my motivation high and enrich my work.

Vicky Brewster is an editor and academic living in South Wales, UK. With a BA in English with Creative Writing from Bangor University and a Masters in English from the Open University, Vicky is now studying a PhD in English at Swansea University, researching hauntings in 21st-century fiction. Vicky has edited full-time for four years before going part-time to focus on her research. She has given talks and workshops privately and for groups such as Bristolcon, Abergavenny Writing Festival, and the Sutton Writers Group. Her clients include prize-nominated and bestselling authors, and independent small presses.

We have been working with Powertex since 2017 and have loved the process of creating our fabric sculptures. We mainly work in a Gothic style but can and have worked in many others.

Chapel on the Green, is a gothic Chapel build in 1866, and is run as creative holiday accommodation, and retreat centre near historic town Hay - on - Wye. With close access to the Black Mountain range, Brecon Beacons and the River Wye the Chapel is a perfect place to retreat, explore the Welsh national parks and relax into the magic of building itself.

JAMAL IS A FREELANCE ARTIST AND MAKER OF STAINED GLASS. HE WORKED AT JOHN HARDMAN STUDIO (EST. 1838), WHERE HE DESIGNED STAINED GLASS WINDOWS FOR SEVERAL HISTORICAL BUILDINGS, MODERN ARCHITECTURAL SETTINGS, PRIVATE COMPANIES, AND RESIDENTIAL SPACES. DURING HIS TIME AT HARDMAN STUDIO, HE EXPLORED (PUGIN'S) THEORY AND (HARDMAN'S) PRACTICE OF GOTHIC REVIVAL STAINED GLASS. THROUGH STAINED GLASS RESTORATION, HE HAS MASTERED IN MULTIPLE GLASS PAINTING STYLES AND TECHNIQUES USED IN MEDIEVAL, ARTS & CRAFTS, PRE-RAPHAELITES AND GOTHIC REVIVAL STAINED GLASS. WITH OVER 23 YEARS OF ARTS PRACTICE, HE HAS ESTABLISHED HIMSELF AS A FREELANCE ARTIST AND EDUCATOR. JAMAL DESIGNS, MANUFACTURES, RESTORES AND CONSERVES HAND-PAINTED STAINED GLASS FOR A VARIETY OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS FROM HIS LITTLE STUDIO IN BIRMINGHAM. JAMAL HAS A MASTER OF FINE ARTS IN ARTS PRACTICE AND EDUCATION FROM BIRMINGHAM CITY UNIVERSITY, AND A MASTER OF FINE ARTS IN ILLUSTRATION/GRAPHIC DESIGN FROM THE COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN, LAHORE. 

renewable heritage trust

In 2003 Howsham Mill was a ruin hidden in the trees on a small island in the River Derwent, five miles downstream from Malton. The vision of the newly-formed Renewable Heritage Trust (RHT) was to restore the building back to its Georgian Gothic glory with a new use as an environmental education centre, generating hydro-electricity from the waterwheel and two Archimedean Screw turbines. In 2006 the mill was the northern region finalist on the BBC Restoration Village programme. A Rural Enterprise Scheme grant funded the rebuilding in 2007 of the granary to become the kitchen and house electrical equipment
