The Reservoir is open to members (and fee paying non-members with RYA level 1 & 2) throughout the year. The access gates to the Reservoir/Sailing Centre & Club House are usually open during Sailing Club sessions, however for security reasons the gates to the centre are locked outside of club sessions. Keys are available to members upon joining. The centre has ample parking, with changing rooms and hot showers. There is also a bar, which is usually open around sailing sessions. Boat launching is from the slipway and there are currently three jetties for mooring. There are sessions for Youth sailing and Sailability (sailing for all ages and abilities) and on such a large area racing and cruising can take place together. Boat / Categories permitted to launch: All sailing dinghies, catamarans and all types of windsurfers, paddleboards, wing-foiling boards. Categories not permitted to launch: Powerboats other than the safety boats, during sailing sessions.

Offering advice on boat purchase, fit out, and training, holding your hand through the many pitfalls of purchasing and owning a boat. Our belief in training and ensuring that you are both safe, confident and competent to venture out on the water in either your own boat or a charter vessel is our main goal. For parties of 4 we can arrange training on many charter vessels around the UK and abroad. Rye Harbour Sailing Club is situated on the River Rother close to Rye Bay where excellent sailing is enjoyed all year round. We have active dinghy and cruising divisions and year round events both sailing and social. The club prides itself in the diversity of its members’ sailing interests and in the variety of yacht and dinghy classes that are enjoyed. Some members undertake substantial annual passages whilst others are happy to mess around on the river! We have an active racing program for cruisers in the spring to autumn and for dinghies year round. Our position on the River Rother enables us to have dinghy races in the river or out in Rye Bay, depending on the weather conditions. The Club has dual parentage, The Rye Bay Yacht Club which was founded in 1925 and The Rye Harbour Sailing Club which was founded in 1934. The two amalgamated to form the present Rye Harbour Sailing Club (RHSC).

Loch Lomond Sailing Club (located north west of Drymen) is one of Scotland’s foremost sailing clubs, with an extensive racing and cruising programme using both the open waters of the east side of the loch near Milarrochy Bay, and for longer races the wider loch with its stunning scenery. With Ben Lomond to the north and Conic Hill to the east, much of our sailing takes place in and around the loch’s many islands, which allows our members to take in the beautiful views. Sailing on Loch Lomond gives the experience of sailing on the largest fresh water loch in the UK and it can be just as much fun as the sea but without the tides. From Easter to October we have a packed programme on both Saturdays and Sundays, with class racing in Flying Fifteens and handicap racing in various dinghy and keelboat fleets – there really is something for everyone.

East Belfast Yacht Club was founded by workers from the Belfast Shipyards in 1904, and has enjoyed both the high and the low years through its existence. From the high points through the 1920s/30s/40s and '50s when the Club hosted many sailing races and entertained the owners and masters of the massive J-Class yachts down to the more plentiful and massively supported Belfast Lough one designs through to the Flying Fifteens and Dragons and others of the various periods. The Club was previously situated at the head of Belfast Lough near the now defunct oil refinery on the South shore but has been based on the present site in Sydenham Embayment between The Belfast City Airport and Victoria Park since 1939. More recent activities have been more towards the Cruising side of Yachting with boats being built and refurbished at our base at Sydenham Embayment and used to cruise the Inland Loughs, the Irish Sea, The Med' and indeed through Europe and across to the America's. We have become established as the main non professional producer and knowledge base for boats built from Ferro-cement in Ireland, and have had visitors from many countries in Europe who wished to avail of our knowledge on the subject. A past Member and his good lady were the first to introduce the method to Sydenham around 1970 and through a system of trial and error and the study of other builders down through the years we have had boats built by our members using just about every method known. Current build numbers are somewhere in the 30s, some of which have been own designs and some modifications of existing designs.
