My name is Vanisha Mistry. I am a Performer, Vocal Improv Artist, Songwriter and Expression Coach. I work with Sound and Energy Healing and share my talents in the Creative Arts. I strive to work in a way that creates a bridge between the modern day mainstream and the more alternative worlds. I have always been a creative. And since a young age I have had a deep connection with nature and the wider sense of the world. In recent years I have come to discover the deep connection between art and spirituality, and the crossover between these worlds. I take inspiration from the ancient practise of Shamanism, which draw great wisdom from the energies of the earth and embodied practises; in our modern day much of this medicine is lost. However the Arts, whether dance, music or painting, do touch on this deeper connection to something beyond ourselves, and I believe this need for artistic Self-Expression is in-fact a tapping into this ancient medicine and a grand creative force - That which makes our reality exist. In all my work I strive to uncover this deep creative essence in each individual. I am professionally trained as a Landscape Architect, qualifying in 2015. My work in this profession didn't sit with me and my mental health took a hit, as is common with many office based Creatives. After this, I promised myself that I would not submit myself to mindless work, but discover a truly sustainable way of living. After several years of travel, exploration and studies, I have now transitioned into the practise of Sound Therapy and Vocal Coaching. My travels took me through Europe, to the Spanish Canary Islands, Australia, South East Asia and India. In each of these places I found that it was the Music and the Natural environment that brought me alive, however my background in Music was little to none. In 2017 a knee injury took me away from dancing and into the path of singing. From close to no experience, I quickly found this my natural talent. I was on stage performing within 1 year and improvising live sets with various artists after 2 years. My exploration of Yoga and Sound Healing developed profoundly in India where I finally understood the link between sound vibration and the body and was able to apply it myself to my own healing practise. This long journey has lead me to Today, where I am a Singer/Song-writer, Vocal Empowerment Coach, Sound Healer and Performer. I am currently studying Music Therapy to be certified as a recognised Music Therapist. Life has transformed quickly because I followed my true voice and my deeper creative calling. Now, I strive to share this process with as many people as possible; and unlocking the power of the voice is the first step to this freedom. I am on a mission now to spread this work further, and to build creative communities; this means working with more people, further a field. I aim to connect wider networks to work intuitively with energy of the body, engaging the Voice, Breath and Movement so that more of us can sit truly in our most authentic Self-Expression. I am a firm believer in joyful practises paving the way towards a more sustainable, meaningful and wholesome way of living - and together we will create a more meaningful, fair and joyful world.

Having a life-long interest in the countryside, health, well-being, affordability, cruelty-free products and using natural products where possible, I bring the best to my clients by doing the best for the environment in the process. A little about me… I studied rural science at school which I enjoyed as it covered life cycle of native animals, plants and trees, natural habitat, conservation and land management at a basic level, art and history also firm favourites. In my late twenties I decided to return to college to pursue a career in hairdressing and soon to be followed, by a two year course in beauty therapy. My passion for natural source of healing combined with plant extracts and massage therapy was realised. At this point I was working full time in a local beauty salon in Skipton, returning to Craven College to study aromatherapy part time for a further year. After gaining valuable experience in the beauty salon, whilst having a young family I worked part time for Next PLC Skipton. This position built my confidence, varied retail business and social skills, working with amazing colleagues, as a sales adviser occasionally a weekend manager. Moving forward I started my own business as a beauty and holistic therapist treating my clients in their own homes or local businesses. Always interested in building and growing my business, I have further trained in several holistic therapies, which include aromatherapy individual blends. I am also a qualified Tai Chi for Health instructor with my own classes in Skipton, Craven and Keighley, support local community wellbeing organisations providing healthy lifestyle activities. My family, friends and clients have always helped and encourage me with my career choice, offering to be guinea pigs when I have required models for new treatments and accepting my flexible working hours. In the past I offered my expertise as a volunteer complementary therapist, aromatherapy practitioner at the local wellbeing cancer support centre in Skipton. I have also held the volunteer position of chairlady of SWIFT (Support Women Inspiring Friendship Training) a local (Skipton Craven Keighley) small business networking group formally known as WorcNet supporting small businesses, charities, local organisations and groups. Due to the pandemic the networking group no longer exists.

Papu Jordan is a fully qualified Reiki Practitioner & Teacher and Massage Therapist with a particular interest in women’s health issues. She is also a Sound Healer, Meditation Teacher and workshop facilitator. Papu was brought up in an immigrant family in which western medicine was used alongside more traditional methods and natural treatments, and so whilst developing a career in teaching, she continued gaining knowledge and experience of Complementary Therapies and using them in her own life. Papu now lives in Harpenden with her husband & Springer spaniel and has been using complementary therapies with her family for many years. She chants every day, is studying the ancient language of Sanskrit and has attended the Teacher Training programme at Sanskrit@St James’, London, which is further informing her work with Mantra & Meditation. Papu Jordan Holistic Therapies for Women was established in 2006 with a view to helping and supporting busy women with the stresses of modern life through Complementary Therapies. Since then, the practice has grown with many clients coming for short term sessions to deal with acute issues or as a treat. Others require longer courses of treatments to help with more chronic conditions or as maintenance/preventative therapeutic sessions. Many have gone on to do Reiki training with Papu and become part of her local Reiki network of students and practitioners through Reiki shares, workshops and other events. Papu has experience treating all ages – from babies & children right through to the elderly; and in supporting people with a wide variety of conditions, including life limiting ones, both as a Grove House volunteer therapist and in private practice. She has undertaken Cancer Care courses at Mount Vernon Hospital and attended courses and workshops led by Estelle Edwards, William Lee Rand, Frank Arjava Petter, Pamela Miles, Kathleen Prasad, Phillip Permutt, Jo Rose, Laura Joy Mason, Gabriella Burnel (Gaiea Sanskrit), Sue Pready (College of Sound Healing) and Bodhi Aspirations, Sanskrit@St James’ amongst others, as well as running collaborative workshops with other local therapists and teachers. I’m a nutrition and health coach, author, blogger, teacher and mum. I studied at Oxford University from 1999-2003 and have an MSc in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry. During my degree I became fascinated in the workings of the human body at a cellular level – how what we eat effects the genes and proteins in our body, how the immune system works and how cancer develops. I’ve always had a passion for nutrition science, I’ve been writing about nutrition and health for several years. I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist in 2017 and as a Health and Life Coach, and AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) Certified Coach in 2021. I now combine these modalities to provide my clients with nutrition and health coaching. I currently live near Tunbridge Wells with my husband, 3 beautiful children and a gorgeous whippet called Millie! When I’m not working I love reading, Pilates, cooking, making herbal medicine and going for long foraging walks with my family and my dog.
