Gary was employed by Glasgow City Council as an EHO for 23 years gaining invaluable experience across a wide sector of health and safety and food safety enforcement activities which has given him a great depth of knowledge and understanding of the safety environment. During his time at GCC, Gary developed a speciality for health and safety enforcement within the Events & Entertainment Industry contributing to the UK’s guide to the Events Industry - “The Events Guide” Founding Safety First Solutions in 2004, Gary has established a wide variety of clients in the Events Industry working at festivals, stadium tours, international awards ceremonies street events and the like (see Events List here). Since that time Gary has gone on to provide health and safety services at many events all over the World including Europe, USA, Africa and the Middle East.

My name is Tricia and I am a professional hula hoop performer, working throughout Scotland. In addition to performing, I am a certified HoopLove Coach and I’m super excited to be bringing classes to West Lothian! With a background in the arts, I hold an M/A Hons in Theatre Studies from the University of Glasgow. I have worked as a performing cabaret artist for over a decade, as well as teaching hen party dance classes. I am a registered and insured member of Equity (Performing Arts Union). WHY HULA HOOPING? Hula hooping is fun but challenging; it makes you work outside your comfort zone and pushes you to learn new things. It puts you in touch with your body and your own natural movements, helping you connect your energy with the hoop. Learning tricks takes time and practice, but the feeling when you finally master a move and it starts to come naturally, is absolutely worth it!

Escape Dance Academy and Performing Arts was Established in 2015, by Ashleigh and Nicole Archbold & And has now opened its doors to its very own studios 10/9/16 Both teachers have been involved in dance from the early age of 3 in which they have dedicated themselves to the profession. Ashleigh has a BSc Sport & Exercise Science Degree in which she studied Physiology, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Psychology and Nutrition all in which is envitable in helping towards creating successfull dancers. Nicole is also currently studying at University in which she is studying BA Honours Degree in Dance. We at Escape are dedicated to providing the highest level of teaching possible. Both teachers currently hold teaching qualifications with the United Kingdom Alliance and are also part of the ADFP - a board dedicated to overseeing Disco Freestyle. From a young age the teachers have also competed in many comeptitions, winning many titles all over Great Britain & Ireland, including The World Championships, Great British Championships, The European Championships, DKKQ at the Blackpool Tower and many more. They have also taken numerous dance exams in many different dance styles. As well as this, they have performed in shows and Pantomines in many theatres including The Liverpool Empire, The Royal Court & The London Palladium to name just a few.
