Our consultation and training is as much about you as it is for your dog as we seek to teach you new skills that will help both you and your dog. Our initial 3 hour consultation cost £210 and we spend the time with you and your dog to properly identify the behaviour and give very practical guidance, training tips and hints to help resolve any unwelcome behaviour. Our follow up behaviour training is designed to embed the new learning and costs £50 for a one hour session. We travel nationwide to conduct our dog behaviour consultations and training or we can use the wonders of technology to meet with you online via teams or zoom conference video calling. Puppy Training Our puppy training provides a great start for training your pup in basic obedience, leash work, recall and we help new owners by teaching some really helpful hints, tips and practical guidance in the handling of your new dog. Our premises has a large outdoor play area, our indoor facilities are heated / air conditioned and we have some very comfortable day beds for your dog to chill out in and relax after their fun packed day. Sharing two-way communication through awareness and appropriate response to canine body language, along with understanding canine behaviour and psychology, will help dog and owner build a deeper relationship based on mutual trust and respect. However much we may love our dogs, from time to time problems can arise. This may be due to a wide variety of reasons ranging from health issues to traumatic past experiences. Some dogs may develop issues related to “aggression”, socialisation or separation, or may be struggling in their environment with fear, insecurity, stress or hyperactivity. Whatever the case, we offer practical guidance and support for the specific needs of each individual, dog and owner alike. With Sheila Harper you will enjoy a unique approach to learning about and working with dogs. Our primary purpose is to educate, but in an ethical way, that recognises each dog as an individual, and places them at the centre of all the work we do. We have studied, extensively, the root causes of behaviour and environment related problems and believe that human / canine partnerships, developed through a two way communication-based system, provide the best remedy. About Sheila Since taking on her first rescue dog with dog to dog and dog to human aggression, Sheila has lived and worked with a wide variety of challenging dogs. Much of Sheila’s knowledge has come through observing interactions of the dogs she has lived with, learning how they gain skills to face such challenges as resolving conflicts themselves. Rather than focussing on teaching problem dogs to obey commands, she helps to teach them Real Life Skills, skills they can apply and adapt to any situation, where they can gain maturity and responsibility. In all aspects, the physical and mental well-being of the animal is of paramount importance Sheila regularly teaches throughout Europe and has also worked in the USA and New Zealand. Over the last 20 years Sheila has found herself becoming increasingly involved in health aspects including Applied Zoopharmacognosy, nutrition and complementary therapies.

Screen printing is a traditional print process that uses stencils to build up an image. The stencil is attached to a screen - a finely woven mesh attached to a frame. The image is printed by drawing a squeegee at pressure across the screen, pushing ink through the mesh onto paper in those areas not covered by the stencil. There are different ways of making stencils for screen print; the most basic are papercuts, but a more sophisticated technique uses a photostencil: the screen is coated with a light sensitive emulsion and the artwork is exposed onto it. This process allows greater detail than paper stencils, and enables photographic images and text to be used. For each colour to be printed, a separate piece of artwork needs to be created. About the studio and equipment My studio is part of Centrespace Co-operative, a block of 31 workshops and studios that also manage the adjoining Centrespace Gallery. Centrespace, formerly known as Bristol Craft Centre, took over the building, a former print works in 1977. My own studio is a light and airy space of two rooms with an additional wet room for washing out screens. One room houses the print equipment and one is for design and drawing work. The print room uses a self built exposure unit, and includes three printing stations (one tabletop setup and two vacuum beds), and marble racks for drying prints. The drawing room includes desk space for three people and a large lightbox. About the tutor Simon studied painting at Portsmouth Polytechnic and printmaking at Chelsea College of Art, where he received the British Instuition Fund for Printmaking Award. He worked in London for over a decade as a scenic painter and muralist before moving to Bristol in 2002. He holds a PGCE in Post-compulsory Education and has been teaching screen printing to all ages and abilities for over a decade. He exhibits his work regularly.
