We are accredited by NCETM as Professional Development Leads and support individual schools as well as networks with bespoke packages of support, tailored to specific need and context. Bright Pi also offers CPD sessions for all those involved in mathematics education, supporting improvement in both subject and pedagogical knowledge. We are keen to raise the profile of mathematics as a subject and enjoy working with parents, governors and the wider community.

Since then I have discovered a real passion for encouraging people to get into exercise through the use of fun, dance based workout routines. I love helping my class members achieve their goals. The Dance Fit with Helen mission! Through dance, exercising can be fun and it should be fun otherwise you won’t want to do it! My mission is to break down this barrier of women feeling too self-conscious to go to an exercise class because of low body confidence and self-esteem. Our main aim is to encourage creativity, promote confidence and provide students with a relaxed environment in which to meet like minded people and enjoy themselves! Our teaching studio is light filled and spacious, allowing students to be seated at least 1.5m apart. In addition to running our own workshops, the studio is available for teaching artists to hire for their own workshops. We provide a selection of complimentary tea, freshly made coffee, biscuits and delicious cakes throughout the day. In the spring and summer students can sit outside to enjoy the garden and socialise with other students.

Inclusion In He

I’ve worked for more than 30 years delivering and managing services in the public sector to support disabled people. In 1997 I moved into higher education becoming the manager of the disability service at the University of the West of England in Bristol. After UWE, I was the manager of an educational development project in Manchester before two roles in national coordination teams. As part of the National Disability Team I oversaw £2.1m of HEFCE funding across 23 projects in a range of HEIs in England. The projects were funded to set up disability provision from scratch within small specialist institutions and to develop a range of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment resources for the sector. I was then senior policy adviser at Action on Access, the national coordination team for widening participation. I’ve worked in a consultancy capacity and been a member of policy groups for a range of projects and organisations including, the Institute of Physics, the Higher Education Academy, the General Teaching Council for England, the Quality Assurance Agency, and a number of universities including York, Durham, Huddersfield, Middlesex and Cardiff Metropolitan. I was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Disability Practitioners for a number of years and I’m now the CEO of the International Network of Inclusive Practice. I recently worked as a visiting lecturer at the Education University, Hong Kong and currently work as a lecturer at London South Bank University.
