Women face ongoing, multiple transitions as they navigate their intertwining family and professional worlds. I create a supported, safe space which allows women to devote the time and energy they need for themselves. In a supported space where my clients are given permission to be their true, imperfect, unique selves, free of judgement, blame and expectation. In this space my clients are more effectively able to plot the course to their own happiest life. In being able to truly connect with what we value most we are more able to be brave and be empowered to follow our own unique path to positive change. I have particularly enjoyed my recent work with the UK Armed Forces Spouses in a Personal Development programme I designed for them, as they are not only facing multiple transitions, but also have the added stresses which comes with having a serving spouse. Becoming a coach I hold both a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours (Monash University, Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management (Deakin University, Melbourne), I spent over a decade making a difference in the environmental sustainability field in both Australia and the UK. Empowering groups and individuals through facilitation, I made a natural transition to the coaching world, and undertook research into the impact of combining sound facilitation techniques with coaching. I use this very powerful combination to create bespoke group coaching and training programmes for my clients. These programmes alongside one to one coaching inspire my clients to reach their full potential in any direction they choose: career transition, creating space for their own wellbeing, focusing on family or pursuing lifelong goals. My depth of global experience across many sectors such as policy, strategic planning and on the ground action informs my already systemic way of thinking. Wide travels combined with expat experiences on three continents have nurtured my empathy and curiosity. I take every opportunity to be involved in projects that will make a real difference to people’s lives.

I’ve made a few fresh starts, but as a business coach, enabling others who are over 50 to make their best new start is the most rewarding. Being middle-aged has so many advantages too. We know who we are, more or less. We have bags of experience. We know what we want, or at least a strong sense of what we don’t. We know what our values and passions are and we crave a life filled with meaning and purpose. That often means impacting the world more positively as well as personal success. This is where I can help because I’ve been there. As a business coach I get to use all my knowledge and experience gained over 30 years in various industries, start-ups as well as scaleups, agencies as well as manufacturing. I’ve experienced successes and failures and am driven to help people avoid the same mistakes I made and to help them achieve work or a business filled with an expression of who they are and what they want to offer the world. My coaching sweet spot is founders who know their subject matter but are less sure of how to achieve sufficiency, sustainability or growth. Starting a business can feel like it’s all about survival, but it is possible to grow and be successful without losing yourself. I can help you gain the freedom to enjoy life whilst increasing revenue and profit growth. I’m naturally person-centred, playful and challenging in my approach. I’m also comfortable with uncertainty when you might be struggling to stick with it. I carry with me practical experience of many hundreds of businesses and their markets and different business and growth models. Together we can create clarity to focus on your customers, whatever the market, whatever the product or service. To enable you to move your life and business life towards your passion; for the environment, social equity or humanity, towards you.

We are a charity dedicated to building social capital and developing the wellbeing of individuals and communities in Cornwall. We do this by working in collaboration with a wide range of organisations to promote and support active citizenship and voluntary action covering the emotional, social, environmental and economic needs and opportunities in Cornwall. From our Head Office in Truro, and our outreach teams across Cornwall, we provide support to all aspects of volunteering across the county. As you explore our website, you will see the range of projects and services we are involved in. Values Our values below describe the way we behave towards each other, our partners, our communities and within the environment. The focus of these values directly relates to achieving lasting outcomes for people and having a positive impact on communities. Creative Being creative and always exploring the ‘art of the possible’ to find solutions to the challenges Cornwall faces. Thinking ahead about potential issues that could impact on the resilience and wellbeing of people and the sustainability of communities. We want to be ‘doing’ not just ‘talking’. Caring Being kind and having compassion for people we work with, both inside and outside our organisation. Seek to understand the issues that may cause people to worry. Having respect and empathy for all people, living creatures and the world in which we live. Collaborative Look for every opportunity to improve outcomes and impacts by cooperating with people and organisations. Understand the connections within the system and the positive impact collaboration can have on people and communities. Act with honesty and integrity when working with local people and partner organisations. Build trusted relationships with people and organisations. Challenging Be passionate and bold about the work that we undertake and open to new possibilities. Challenge ourselves and others to do better and work positively with the people and partners to identify ways to improve services. Focus on the mission of the organisation challenging established practices in order to achieve sustained outcomes.

Hillview School for Girls is a unique learning establishment. Our ethos is built around a broad and balanced education where students are able to explore their interests and talents, whilst making good progress across a range of academic and foundation subjects. Our specialism in Performing and Visual Arts and outstanding attainment across a wide range of curriculum areas enables all of our students to develop their passions within a safe and supportive environment. As a school we strive to support each and every child to realise their dreams and ambitions. We realise that this requires a strong balance between exploring and developing their skills and understanding throughout their learning and harnessing their interests. Our strong pastoral system supports our students in their decision-making, confidence-building and resilience, which will serve them so well in an ever-changing and challenging world. Our mixed sixth form offers one of the widest subject ranges in the local area, across multiple specialist academic and vocational courses. Our curriculum offers students the flexibility to specialise in one area or keep a wide subject base. Our new Performing Arts studio route provides our students with the industry experience to secure their progression into their chosen field or on to university study. We are highly aspirational for all our Key Stage 5 students and actively support their progression onto university by leading them through the application process and developing their transferable, personal skills and independent learning skills to ensure they are successful in their subsequent studies. Students develop their understanding of the local community through varied community and business links and fundraising opportunities. Our new Science HUB, offers members of the community the chance to experience lectures from top scientists, which also supports our students’ exploration into high academic, aspirational career pathways. Our highly active and dedicated PTA offer a range of events throughout the year, for students and parents. Their hard work and effort continues to support our students by providing facilities such as a school minibus or covered seating areas. They are always looking for new members to support their on-going projects. We are entering a new and exciting time, which will see the school moving from strength to strength, building upon our current position as one of the highest attaining non-selective schools in Kent; with 61% of our students leaving with 5 A*-C including English and Maths. Together, as a school, we will be building an outstanding provision for the future, where students will take a highly active role within the wider school development and their own learning journey. Our students access a highly personalised curriculum which enables each individual to progress at a rate suitable to their needs. A student’s successful progression through the school is dependent upon a strong partnership and network and I ask all parents to support their children and the school by promoting positive learning behaviours and engaging their child in discussions about their work.
