We are House of Pain Academy, one of the most highly regarded professional wrestling academies in the UK. Through our supportive family atmosphere we aim to help everyone with an interest in becoming a Professional Wrestler, the opportunity to do so within a safe and comfortable environment. We are uniquely able to prepare you for a career within British Wrestling, with our excellent and established links to touring companies and regional promotions around the UK. The House of Pain ethos is that you will be supported in your wrestling training journey, and whether you would like professional wrestling to be your career in the future, or whether you’re looking for a new hobby, your training will be treated with the same respect and care. We think the Academy offers the perfect blend of a fun environment, and a serious training facility. Its down to the individual as to how they use the opportunities we will make available to them. We are based in Snienton, Nottingham, close to the city centre and with good transport links from other parts of the UK, being close to the M1, Nottingham Railway Station and East Midlands Airport. We run a full time facility, which currently hosts daily classes, 7 days a week, and at least 6 professional shows per month around Nottinghamshire. We hold regular monthly open days for prospective new students to try out Professional Wrestling at the same, in a welcoming environment where they can all learn the first steps together, guided by our trainers and senior members of the academy, after which they are welcome to join in with any of our beginners level classes. Our unique programme delivers bespoke sessions, football camps and links to professional clubs and scouts. Our programme works with each individual player. The delivery of the programme is tailored for each player and targets their needs and their personal development. Technical – Social – Physical – Psychological Our qualified football coaches have coached at all levels of the male and female game, such as Elite players, Academy players and Grassroots players. With over 50 years of playing and coaching experience 4 Corner Coaching can provide the perfect environment for your son or daughter to develop. All staff are FA Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) qualified, as well as Safeguarded and have an enhanced DBS check along with being a member of the FA licensed club coaches association. national association of child contact centres (naccc)

The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) was founded in Nottingham in 1991 with the establishment of the first Child Contact Centre. It is a registered charity, and an umbrella organisation which sets the National Standards to which Child Contact Centres must work. Child Contact Centres are neutral places where children of separated families can enjoy contact with non-resident parents and sometimes other family members, in a comfortable and safe environment. Every year, this national organisation via its member centres, support families and children in their local community. There are accredited member centres throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. They are operated by a variety of independent organisations that form the membership of NACCC. NACCC is unique in the service it provides for local Contact Centres. Many of our members, provide ‘Supported Contact’ They are predominantly open on alternate Saturdays. These centres are only suitable for families that are deemed to present minimal risk of violence or abuse. In some cases, a higher level of supervision is needed because a child or parent is at risk of harm. These are ‘Supervised Contact Centres‘ and are used in these situations, but also can be used to reintroduce a child to a parent where there has been a substantial gap in contact. NACCC has an accreditation process which ensures members meet national standards. An assessor visits every three years to ensure that the centres comply with DBS checks, health and safety legislation, that HR practices are carried out appropriate, their financial situation, their operating procedures are in accordance with the standards, and safeguarding procedures are in place. The assessor then submits a report to NACCC. If the centre does not comply with all areas, an action plan is issued which is time limited. NACCC also delivers high quality training and support to ensure members are well equipped and knowledgeable. In addition, there is a helpline which centres, and parents can ring for advice and guidance, and a safeguarding helpline in the event of an issue arising at the centre.

Since September 2020 we have moved from live, touring theatre to providing online resources to support PSHE and RSE in primary and secondary schools. All content on this site is in line with DfE guidelines and the result of 22 years of research with schools, safeguarding agencies and charities in our area.
