Blandford Forum Gymnastics was established in 1998. We pride ourselves in having staff and coaches who are enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable and qualified under the guidelines of the National Governing Body. We are also based in our own facility that is 'Gym Mark Accredited' as a safe, effective and child friendly environment. We cater for children from school age upwards, running classes in Recreational Gymnastics, Trampolining and Competitive Gymnastics. All lessons are part of a planned programme of activities that also include the British Gymnastics Award Schemes and Gymnastics for All programmes. Gymtopia North East Gymnastics Club opened on the 18th November 2014 and first began in both Kenton School sports hall and Wallbottle School sports hall with 3 gymnasts and 2 coaches; one of them being head coach and director Felicity Brown. Felicity had always dreamed of opening her own club to cater for the local community and beyond, giving the potential for participants from all backgrounds to enjoy the sport of Gymnastics. Gymtopia quickly expanded to include multiple classes and in April 2017 opened in its own premises in Brunswick, Newcastle to accommodate the growing number of gymnasts in the club. Gymtopia is fully affiliated with British Gymnastics. Gymtopia now houses over 500+ Gymnasts from Grassroots to national level and hopefully in the future compulsory elite. Beyond this, Gymtopia has 12 recreational classes per week and has developed a growing preschool section to encourage any future gymnasts and increase participation levels from an earlier age. Gymtopia aims to provide opportunities for all, including recreational, competitive and coaching opportunities. Gymtopia believes that sporting participation has great value in the lives of all, beyond the sport. Gymnastics teaches hard work, determination, teamwork and discipline. It is with this work ethic that has enabled Gymtopia to have gymnasts compete all over the country since its opening in 2014, including representing the North of England region at National Finals multiple times. In 2018, Gymtopia also expanded to International competition, competing in Malta. The gymnastics club offers a range of disciplines including recreation, preschool, women’s artistic, women’s general, men’s general and Teamgym. Gymtopia aims to give back to all its members and so Felicity has created the club to be a non-profit community club, all proceeds are invested back into the club for future expansions, increased participation and gymnast development. Gymtopia is currently in the process of becoming a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club) in order to support our core values of being a non-profit club and catering to the wider community.

SAADI Gymnastics was established in 1975. Originally specialising in women’s artistic, the club opened up a Recreational Club in 2015 in order to offer gymnastics to everyone in the local area. We are now recognised as one of the fastest growing British Gymnastics Clubs in the Region. SAADI Gymnastics offers a variety of classes for children of all ages. Our Recreational Classes for 4-14 year olds are designed to teach gymnastics in a fun and consistent way, and are led by British Gymnastics qualified coaches. The class typically has a ratio of 10 gymnasts to 2 or 3 coaches, and focuses on specific skills each week. These classes cost £11.50 per hour. Our Pre-School classes are led by our beloved characters Somi and Flic, two dinosaurs who love gymnastics and adventures. These classes are designed to help children learn different gymnastics skills while having fun, and cost £8.50 per hour. Our Parent and Child classes are a great way for children ages 2-3 to explore gymnastics with their parent or guardian. These classes cost £6.50 per hour. Our Play Gym classes for children ages 0-5 are a popular option, with extensive soft play and gymnastics equipment available for children and their parents to enjoy. These classes cost £5 per hour.

Cambridge Gymnastics Academy CIC is a non-profit organisation, which was founded in May 2012. The company Director Kayleigh Plaza, had a vision to provide affordable gymnastics for all, no matter age, gender, income or ability/disability. The club has since evolved and with an incredibly dedicated staff team, together fundraised, saved and received grants from both the Council and Sport England totalling £250,000. In May 2016, CGA opened its doors to a dedicated facility at North Cambridge Academy. CGA prides itself on being a hub for the community. Sessions are available from 6 week old babies to adult, from recreational to elite, with the lowest priced classes in the area and we even offer a 10% discount for people on means tested benefits. After our pre-school classes, we offer free refreshments so families can build relationships with others. We offer classes for minority groups such as women’s only, over 50’s and specially designed disability sessions. We are an inclusive club, so in the evenings children with disabilities join in with our normal recreational sessions. We deliver curriculum support to the NCA students and run a youth night on a Friday evening to provide local young people with a safe environment. In 2017 our success & hard work was recognised by British Gymnastics and we were selected as 1 of 3 clubs in the whole of the UK to be shortlisted for the award ‘British Gymnastics Club of the Year’. Following this success CGA were also awarded the 2017 winners of the ‘Living Sports Community Club of the Year’ fighting off strong competition from sports clubs across Cambridgeshire. Both huge achievements for the club. The club is a registered member of both British Gymnastics and Eastern Counties Gymnastics Association and has a number of fully qualified coaches & judges up to National Level who are DBS checked, safeguard & first aid qualified.
