I wish you a very warm welcome to our website. I am a practising teacher who has over 20 years experience in the secondary education sector, my specialist subject being science. Currently, I hold the position of Deputy Headteacher in an 11-16 secondary school with responsibility for curriculum development. Since being a senior leader, I have gained significant experience in leading whole school professional development and the quality assurance of the quality of education. I have been awarded a distinction in a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and in doing so have carried out research relating to curriculum and social justice. I strongly believe in: Creating an engaging, challenging curriculum which allows all children to flourish and achieve their potential. Providing high quality professional development which allows staff to improve performance in the classroom. An education system that empowers learners and promotes social justice. Promoting social justice is the intrinsic drive behind everything I do, and is one of the core values behind the Iridium Education philosophy. I’ve worked for more than 30 years delivering and managing services in the public sector to support disabled people. In 1997 I moved into higher education becoming the manager of the disability service at the University of the West of England in Bristol. After UWE, I was the manager of an educational development project in Manchester before two roles in national coordination teams. As part of the National Disability Team I oversaw £2.1m of HEFCE funding across 23 projects in a range of HEIs in England. The projects were funded to set up disability provision from scratch within small specialist institutions and to develop a range of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment resources for the sector. I was then senior policy adviser at Action on Access, the national coordination team for widening participation. I’ve worked in a consultancy capacity and been a member of policy groups for a range of projects and organisations including, the Institute of Physics, the Higher Education Academy, the General Teaching Council for England, the Quality Assurance Agency, and a number of universities including York, Durham, Huddersfield, Middlesex and Cardiff Metropolitan. I was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Disability Practitioners for a number of years and I’m now the CEO of the International Network of Inclusive Practice. I recently worked as a visiting lecturer at the Education University, Hong Kong and currently work as a lecturer at London South Bank University.

The Registration Council for Dog Training and Behaviour Practitioners (RCDTBP) is the United Kingdom’s independent organisation set up in 2010 to manage the CAWC Code of Practice and all that it entails. The Code sets industry agreed minimum professional standards for all those involved with providing a dog training and or behaviour service, and as such holds the official ‘Register of Signatories’ agreeing to be guided to it. In managing the Code, the Registration Council offers: all Dog Training and Behaviour Practitioners the opportunity to register their commitment to the standards of service set by the Code, including those in training and or studying to do so, and supporters with a related interest public search facilities with specific options to help people find appropriate Dog Training and or Behaviour Service(s) for their individual needs the public and other professionals the opportunity to provide us with helpful quality assurance feedback on the standards of service received, as set by the Code and to which all providers, in registering, understand and welcome unbiased and impartial guidance to all on the standards set by the Code as applied to all aspects of dog training and or behaviour services, including advice for those in-training or wishing to do so in the future related organisations, membership bodies and course providers the opportunity not only to register support for the Code, but to contribute to a comprehensive network of services setting standards or providing appropriate educational courses for Practitioners, other professionals and the public

We offer customised training opportunities on a range of open courses for a wide variety of job and life skills opportunities through one-to-one learning support, individual learning plan, progress reviews and advice and guidance. We have delivered programmes ranging from privately funded courses to ESA, EFA 16-18, Traineeship, Apprenticeship, Advanced Learning Loan and Adult Education contracts from entry level 1 to level 7.
