ARMA is the leading trade association for residential leasehold management. WHAT WE DO ARMA was founded in 1991 to bring together professionals involved in private residential block management. We: Set high standards in residential block management Require our members to meet those standards Provide technical advice and guidance to our members Produce information and advice notes for leaseholders Run training courses on the leasehold system Promote professionalism in property management Campaign for improvements in relevant legislation and policy ARMA’S STANDARDS ARMA members work to high professional standards and must be part of an independent ombudsman scheme. They agree to comply with the RICS ‘Service Charge Residential Management Code’ and to abide by ARMA’s rules of membership. ARMA Accreditation (formerly known as ARMA-Q) is a real milestone for consumer protection in the residential leasehold sector. It is based on standards developed specifically for the leasehold property management sector and independent regulation. All ARMA members now have to comply with the Standards and a Consumer Charter. Our members range from small family run businesses looking after a few blocks to national companies managing tens of thousands of flats across numerous developments. The types of buildings ARMA members manage can vary enormously in size and style; some are new build tower blocks, some are converted houses and others are purpose built mansion blocks dating back to the Twenties and Thirties. OUR ASSOCIATES Associates are managing agents that are working towards becoming a Member, but do not yet meet the two-year trading rule, or who may have had their application for accreditation declined. This is a transitory category where maximum periods are set and they will either progress to Member, or if still not qualified to do so after the specified period, will no longer receive Member level benefits. OUR PARTNERS A partner is a company that is not directly involved in the block management of flats but whose services are essential for managing agents. With an inclusive ethos always, SET is a community which aims to bridge gaps between disciplines, creating a platform for collaboration and multidisciplinary experimentation. SET’s charitable objectives are: ‘for the public benefit, to promote, improve and advance education in, and appreciation of, the arts.’ We fulfil this aim by financially and creatively supporting grassroots artistic production. Our mission is to nurture artists’ communities by offering affordable studios – the space, foundations and support to make bold, innovative and exciting new works. We support our Members in developing their practices by giving them access to project spaces, workshop areas, and inviting them to contribute to our Members’ Programme, a public arts programme led by our membership. SET is currently home to over 500 artists and has a membership of over 1000. SET hosts artists working in a variety of practices and disciplines from text, performance and installation to music, sound, print, textiles and more. SET currently has 6 centres in London. The SET New Cross project space is home to our main exhibition programme, whilst SET Dalston hosts our social space & bar and our performance space & music venue. Each SET centre is home to a variety of artists workspaces: from desk space to light industrial units. Each SET centre is hosted in otherwise vacant property, some temporary and some long term. With its friendly team of staff and volunteers, it has been celebrating, exhibiting and nurturing all kinds of artists since being established on 31 October 1951 by local businessman Thomas Burton, and Hubert Coop, a successful artist. “The Burton at Bideford is a gallery and museum of international note, in a unique setting of a historic port on the north coast of Devon.”

As an Approved Centre the training courses we deliver assist with meeting Care Certificate standards developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England, and Skills for Health and support care providers in meeting compliances with regulating/inspecting body external quality assurance training requirements.

The Construction Employers Federation (CEF) is the "Voice of the Industry". The CEF is the sole certified representative body for the construction industry in Northern Ireland. We represent approx 70% of construction in NI and around 800 businesses of all sizes employing over 30,000 staff directly and and 65,000 in the wider supply chain. CEF is the Voice of the Industry in NI on the Construction Leadership Council, BuildUK and the Procurement Board. We promote best practice and procedures in construction procurement. The CEF offers a multi-discipline advice service to its members on all aspects of the construction industry The construction industry is one of the largest industrial sectors in Northern Ireland and makes a significant contribution to the local economy. It is therefore essential to have an effective organisation to represent the industry. The CEF fulfils this role. With over 800 members large and small, we speak as the authoritative voice for construction employers. We provide strong and effective lobbying to government and client bodies. Through membership of the CEF you will gain recognition in the eyes of the government, clients and the public at large.
