The Survey Association, known generally as TSA, is the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK. The association was formed in 1979 to give a focus for private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. It is important to realise, however, that it is not a regulatory body. The role of TSA is to promote best practice amongst its members, provide a forum for members for discussion, debate and continuing professional development and, to the wider audience such as engineers and architects, provide guidance on new methods and techniques and a list of suitably qualified and experienced companies. Today, the association has over 200 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, affiliate or academic members directly involved in the geospatial profession. TSA is also involved in lobbying Government departments when appropriate and other agencies such as the Environment Agency regarding policies likely to affect or involve the survey profession. TSA meets regularly with RICS and CICES on a range of issues and has established a group called the SLG, or Survey Liaison Group. This body convenes at regular intervals to examine matters of mutual interest and to ensure that there is little or no duplication of effort by the three bodies. Representatives from the Geospatial Commission also regularly join SLG meetings. At the age of three I put on my first dance shoes and no one has been able to get me out of them since! From festivals, competitions, shows, pantomimes, and exams I couldn't get enough. I knew from a young age I wanted to share my passion with the world and therefore was determined to educate myself on how to teach performing arts. There has been much research on the positive effects of music for our health and happiness BBC News reported on research from a University in Montreal Canada (Nature Neuroscience study) 'An experiment by a primary school in England has revealed that music can also help in improving academic performance among pupils. New Delhi: It is no secret that music has therapeutic effect and can help students in combatting stress. Studies have also revealed that music helps in improving concentration.' After successfully completing a PGDE Teaching Qualification in Dance at Liverpool John Moores University as well as a Degree in Dance, Drama and Performing Arts at Edgehill University. I decided to open my own Dance Academy focusing on inclusivity, learning new skills, a love of music and fitness. I pride myself on having an inclusive academy where EVERYONE MATTERS! I continue my professional development in working with children and young people as I am passionate about each of my pupils reaching their individual potential.

As a trauma focused therapist, Raquel established a counseling and consultant practice to help people work through their most challenging experiences and support the professional development of the next generation of future trauma focused clinicians. It's known that experiencing trauma can block the brain's natural way to recover from distressing events. Traumatic experiences often involve a threat to life or safety that can leave one feeling overwhelmed and isolated and can impact the nervous system, resulting in a traumatic stress response. It's essential to utilize healing strategies that focus on the mind and body to heal from a traumatic experience. As such, Raquel trained in both EMDR and Somatic Experiencing® approaches. Raquel chose to specialize in EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing because it has been extensively researched and has demonstrated effectiveness in treating trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR therapy is designed to reactivate the natural healing process through alternating eye movements, sounds, or taps. As a SE™ Practitioner in Training, she integrates Somatic Experiencing® techniques into her practice. Somatic Experiencing® is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and other stress disorders. The SE™ approach releases traumatic shock from the body, which is key to transforming PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma.
