It is with an enormous sense of pride that we welcome you to Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy. We are a values-driven Academy with an unshakeable belief in human potential and are proud of all our students. We have the highest expectations of them in terms of academic achievement, personal development, attitude, behaviour, attendance and appearance. Staff are dedicated and committed to students being stretched, challenged and supported in all their learning experiences so that they can reach their full potential and learn essential life skills to help them succeed in an ever-changing world. Our curriculum offer is broad, innovative and inclusive with a rich variety of subjects that allow students to aspire, strive and thrive. Lessons, delivered in world-class learning facilities, are stimulating and challenging, meeting the needs of all our students. Our enrichment and extension opportunities support the development of our students as well-rounded, life-long learners. It is an immense privilege to be part of a highly skilled, professional, team of staff, all of whom are focussed on students’ academic progress, character development, happiness and well-being. Young people face many choices and challenges in their teenage years and our Small School model enables us to provide outstanding care and pastoral support. Staff are a reassuring and constant presence in our young people’s lives and help them discover who they are and what they want to be. As a Stationers’ school and part of the Leigh Academies Trust, our students have access to an incredible range of opportunities in industry, commerce and education. The commitment of the Governors and Trust members is outstanding. They work tirelessly to provide advice, financial support, work experience, mentoring, apprenticeships and enrichment opportunities. ‘Stationers’ students’ are highly regarded by further education institutions and employers. We know that young people achieve their best in a supportive and caring environment and a strong home/school relationship plays an essential part in helping our students reach their full potential. We look forward to welcoming you as members of our Academy family.

Women face ongoing, multiple transitions as they navigate their intertwining family and professional worlds. I create a supported, safe space which allows women to devote the time and energy they need for themselves. In a supported space where my clients are given permission to be their true, imperfect, unique selves, free of judgement, blame and expectation. In this space my clients are more effectively able to plot the course to their own happiest life. In being able to truly connect with what we value most we are more able to be brave and be empowered to follow our own unique path to positive change. I have particularly enjoyed my recent work with the UK Armed Forces Spouses in a Personal Development programme I designed for them, as they are not only facing multiple transitions, but also have the added stresses which comes with having a serving spouse. Becoming a coach I hold both a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours (Monash University, Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management (Deakin University, Melbourne), I spent over a decade making a difference in the environmental sustainability field in both Australia and the UK. Empowering groups and individuals through facilitation, I made a natural transition to the coaching world, and undertook research into the impact of combining sound facilitation techniques with coaching. I use this very powerful combination to create bespoke group coaching and training programmes for my clients. These programmes alongside one to one coaching inspire my clients to reach their full potential in any direction they choose: career transition, creating space for their own wellbeing, focusing on family or pursuing lifelong goals. My depth of global experience across many sectors such as policy, strategic planning and on the ground action informs my already systemic way of thinking. Wide travels combined with expat experiences on three continents have nurtured my empathy and curiosity. I take every opportunity to be involved in projects that will make a real difference to people’s lives.

To lead change by nurturing the skills needed to create, restore, maintain and improve places for wildlife. To influence behaviour through our motivational outdoor experiences of the natural world and wildlife. To change lives by connecting people to nature and thereby improving their health and wellbeing. Working together We lead change by working with others to form collectives that plan, resource and deliver sustainable community-based projects that benefit people and wildlife. We influence behaviour by planning and delivering courses and workshops about ecology, conservation, countryside skills and rural crafts that are of community interest. We change lives by creating, restoring, maintaining and improving habitats for wildlife and conserving natural green places and historic landscapes for people. Growing wild Wilding is a concept of making space for nature and encouraging wildlife back to the landscape. It is restoring natural processes to our countryside, reviving degraded habitats, reintroducing depleted or missing species and allowing our ecosystems to become naturally self-regulating again. Nature is an intricate web of interactions that enrich our lives, help nourish the natural environment and give our planet a greater capacity to cope with human impact. We encourage our learners to connect with nature by growing wild plants and making space for wildlife in their gardens and green spaces. Learning outdoors We promote outdoor learning as a way to discover, engage with and learn about the natural world and wildlife. Our learning experiences will nurture your skills and help you change behaviours through direct engagement with the natural world. We help communities, groups, families and individuals reflect about themselves, learn about each other and connect with nature. The motivating experiences you have with us will be a catalyst for your learning, personal development, health and well-being. Our promise is... " To strive to be global citizens by being aware of and understanding nature, the wider world and our place in it. As individuals and teams we will be active in our local communities, and work together and with others to make peoples lives smarter, healthier, safer, fairer and greener."
