The Bonny Academy is a Training Provider. No matter if you’re an individual looking for personal growth or a company looking to train your employees, I can probably offer you something to train in. Who works at The Bonny Academy? At the moment, the only person working here is the founder, Lee-Ann Bonny. Lee-Ann is an experienced & fully qualified teacher. Look on the bio page for more info. In the future, I will be employing qualified & trusted individuals that have been pre-selected to run sessions and workshops in their main field of study. I am already building a small team of very talented individuals who will be fully trained to deliver courses to you & your teams. What do we do here? The Bonny Academy offers courses based around vocal coaching, performance & music theory and is aiming towards a future of training for roles in the events industry. Musicians Techs Crew Medics SIA & Stewards The company is just starting out & I am building a steady foundation of training that will catapult The Bonny Academy to the top of the events industry. There are vocal coaching subscriptions available, as well as online vocal courses. Vocal coaching & music tutoring is available via video call & face to face. The Bonny Academy has recently become a registered centre with awarding body Qualsafe. You can now access a wider range of courses including: Health & Safety at Work, Risk Assessments, Safeguarding, Fire Safety, Education & Training Level 3 and much more. Keep an eye on information about future courses such as First Aid at Work & SIA. Some of these courses have e-learning available in the shop on this website and, in the training section, you’ll find a full list of courses I currently offer. You’ll also find links to sign up to courses that I’ll be holding. All Qualsafe courses are certified qualifications & are regulated by Ofqual. Any Qualsafe qualfication that you do with me can be added to your digital learning record. Your learning record holds all of your qualifications from 2012 and can be accessed by educational institutions and employers, so you can make sure your credentials are proven. I am working hard on offering live/online workshops linked with live events services: volunteering, awareness of vulnerable groups, disability recognition, ALN/SEND & much more! The Bonny Academy courses & workshops will be accredited so you can add the hours to your Continued Professional Development files. The quarterly online vocal workshop already has accreditation & is worth 2 CPD hours, so make sure you sign up with your email to find out dates for those! Our mission is to give hope and opportunities to children and young people in West London, so they fulfil their potential and leave prepared and excited for adult life. The Avenues team of youth professionals provides a safe, caring, youth-led space in a disadvantaged inner-city area, where young people can learn, develop and build towards a brighter future. Open-access after-school and holiday programmes take place in our purpose-built youth centre in North Westminster. Activities encompass sport, healthy cooking, music, art, dance, radio, skills development and career pathways. Delivered by our experienced team, the work is child-centred and promotes enjoyment, collaboration and individually tailored support towards personal development. Young people are encouraged to become volunteers, participate in social action, and to use their voices to share their ideas, opinions and needs, which in turn helps us shape the youth programmes. We are committed to the highest quality of youth work and in 2021 we were awarded the Gold Level London Youth Quality Mark. This is the badge of excellence for our sector, a quality assurance programme co-delivered with UK Youth and recognised by City and Guilds, local authorities and funders. The Avenues is one of London's leading youth centres. Our basic model works in two ways: Community classes for adults age 18 and up are run out of our Shawlands Language Nest, offered on a semester basis, in-person and online for a period of 10 weeks each time. These classes are bookable by individuals through our website here. The surplus revenue from these community classes cross-subsidise our work with older adults, including those living with dementia in care homes, community groups and day centres across Scotland. These care classes are only bookable in partnership with an organisation. If you are interested in this kind of class and are acting on behalf of your organisation, you can book a taster classes of this type here. The Language Nest A picture of students from our 2022 Summer Semester in the cosy Shawlands Language Nest! We run classes for adults of all ages in our very own Lingo Flamingo Language Nest, located in Shawlands, Glasgow, an area known for its vibrancy, diversity and strong sense of community. We still use the same sensory, stimulating techniques to make classes fun and accessible, but these classes are designed for those living without a dementia diagnosis from age 18 upwards. We also continue to emphasise the health benefits and show that language learning can be for everyone. All the money that is raised through the Language Nest gets put towards our work with older adults including those living with dementia. That’s to say, each and every penny of surplus revenue is used to cross-subsidise classes for older adults and those living with dementia across Scotland. As such, the Nest not only acts as a way to change perceptions of language learning, but as means to expand our social impact. It also means that any student joining our flock will not only gain from the benefits of language learning, but can feel good about having created a positive effect on society. Everyone’s a winner.

Ralph is a mentor-in-training supporting new dance leaders on their journey. He now lives in Todmorden / West Yorkshire. Usually he leads the DUP sessions with his wife Vitalija with humour, heart - and a bit of spice. He is a Quaker and Subud member and loves harmony singing and dancing with polarities. His dance leading is usually light, humorous - and deep. His favourite dances are joyful uplifting partner dances, zikrs and dances with countermelodies in 2 circles. Since May 2011 he is mentored by Rasullah Clarke. His inclusive way of introducing the dances makes it easy for newcomers to feel welcome and relaxed. His wife Vitalija is now also a DUP mentor-in-training leader and part of the Sufi Movement. She leads and accompanies the dances with guitar. She loves to lead Sufi zikrs, especially those from Leila Be. Together they create a joyful atmosphere.
