Adele is one of leading tap dancers in the UK. Adele trained at Tiffany Theatre School, Masters and Expressions Theatre Arts. Adele took her training further in America. Adele is a founding member of a London Based Tap Company, Old Kent Road and Andrew Nemr’s USA based company, ‘Cat’s Paying Dues’ where she performed as part of their 10th Anniversary show Off-Broadway. Old Kent Road have had a number of UK tours including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sadlers Wells,The Bunker and 2 International tours in China. Adele was invited to join The School of Jacob Pillow - 2019 Tap Dance Programme which lead to staring in a new show in the USA, 'What is thing called Love' which premiered in New Hampshire in 2022. Adele regularly performs at the London Tap Jam and with The Michele Drees Tap Project. This includes Glastonbury Music Festival, Love Supreme Jazz Festival and a number of famous jazz venues. She represented England in the Tap Dance World Championships in Resia, Germany. Adele is passionate about the art form and is a specialist in improvisation. Adele has performed at Ronnie Scotts, 606 Club and the Vortex to name a few jazz clubs you're most likely to find her! Recently, Adele has become a special guest for the world famous Jive Aces which has led her to many West End performances. Adele appeared on BBC One as part of the Women’s FA Cup Semi Finals. Adele worked with Lionsgate Productions when releasing the DVD of LaLaLand. Adele is a choreographer for Tap Attack, Performing Arts Colleges and International Shows. Adele has taught and performed at many internationals festivals such as Stockholm, Mallorca, Poland and Germany. As a qualified ISTD teacher, Adele coaches in leading colleges and schools across the country.

It started when I began to learn more about the conditions for egg production and I realised that free-range wasn’t the wonderful happy situation that I thought it to be. The standards for labelling products as free-range are not as high as the marketing would suggest. (I am of course speaking in general terms and I know that this won’t apply to all farms, but it appears to apply to the majority). As a vegetarian at that time I’d already thought that I was quite ethically aware with what I bought, and it dawned on me that there must be many other people buying and supporting products that they also think are ethically sound, and that these people too may be interested to know more. Passion for performing arts! As a professional dancer, this prompted me to come up with an idea for a show to raise awareness on global issues and ethical living - not just animal welfare, but also climate change and human rights. However I realised that if the audience are inspired to make ethical changes or learn more, simply watching a show would not give them the tools to do that. Hence the creation of Impact – awesome events and activities to inspire change, with incredible live performances, the tools needed to live ethically and fun ways to implement everyday ethical living even for the busiest of lives! Don’t be put off by the heavy topics we’re dealing with, our events are fun and uplifting, with a vision of making positive changes. I’m not claiming to be perfect, nor am I trying to preach. I’m still learning too. I just know our planet is wonderful, as is the human race and all life that shares Earth with us.

High Grange School’s multi-disciplinary approach incorporates best practices and autism-friendly strategies and supports in order to meet the educational needs of students who have ASD. Our students learn how to develop and use effective compensatory strategies to overcome difficulties in social and emotional processing, communication and flexibility in thinking and behaviour, all of which can combine to have a negative impact on their learning. The design of the school; its environment and facilities; and the structure and delivery of our educational programmes are created to reduce the stress and anxieties often associated with an autism spectrum condition. Our enabling teaching approach provides multiple physical and practical opportunities as well as visual supports for learning. This helps students to achieve their full potential by understanding and dealing with personal challenges while making the most of their abilities and strengths. Managing expectations realistically is a core part of our educational programme. Individualised Learning Plans are created for all students with input from the school’s specialist therapists. These plans include strategies to enable students to manage their anxieties; to regulate their emotional responses; and to reduce or eliminate negative and inappropriate behaviours which are preventing effective learning and positive social interactions. During the school day students have access to a varied and stimulating curriculum. The Classes are grouped by Key Stage and students are taught in small groups of up to 6. Teachers use detailed planning to ensure each individual is enabled to achieve in all areas. Classrooms are well-equipped and include specialist facilities for Music, Art & Design, D&T, Science, Computer Science and ICT, Food Technology and Performing Arts. High Grange has excellent PE facilities, including a swimming pool, large gymnasium, hard court areas and extensive grassed areas.

Summerhall has fast become a key arts organisation in Edinburgh, at festival time and throughout the year. Its Edinburgh Festival Fringe programmes have “rewired the Fringe” (The Stage), winning multiple Fringe First and Total Theatre awards, and bringing leading theatre-makers to the Fringe. Our visual art programme presents a diverse and innovative programme of exhibitions, free and open to the public all year round. Exhibiting artists have included Liliane Lijn, Alastair MacLennan, Derrick Guild, Tamsyn Challenger, Haroon Mirza, Pester and Rossi. Summerhall’s year-round live music programme, Nothing Ever Happens Here… has become one of the best places to see exciting, live music in the city, bringing musicians such as Billy Bragg, Sun Kil Moon, The Sun Ra Arkestra, and Charlotte Church to Summerhall’s Dissection Room, whilst helping to provide a platform for young bands in Edinburgh to play with established touring musicians from around the globe. Summerhall won the Dan Crawford Innovation Award at the 2015 Empty Space… Peter Brook Awards, was shortlisted for The Stage Fringe Venue of the Year in 2014 and 2017, was awarded a Cycle Friendly Employer Award by Cycle Scotland in 2019 and won The Herald Scottish Culture Award 2019 for Outstanding Venue. The aim is to be a major cultural destination where audiences meet and mix and where artists and performers are inspired to make and present their best work.
