I am a multi-media artist, working across a range of media, from painting, film, sculpture, and installation. I create mixed-media paintings which incorporate materials such as, heavily textured impasto, pigment powders, straw, textiles, and various found objects. I gained my Post Graduate diploma in Fine Art, and Foundation in Art & Design from the University Arts London, Central Saint Martins, and My BA honours in Fine Art & English Literature from The University of Reading. I also have a PGCE and a fully qualified teacher status in Art & Design. I currently work from my art studio in Perivale, London. As well as being a full time artist, I work as a Therapeutic art coach within an academic setting. I deliver art workshops in various London locations; provide private art classes/coaching from my studio, and I'm an instructor & mindfulness art coach at MasterPeace creative studios in London.

Studio Eleven is a gallery, studio and workshop space. We offer specialist studio space for ceramicists and a shared workshop for printmaking. Events include artists talks, performances, workshops, hire of the studio space and a rolling programme of exhibitions featuring contemporary ceramics and painting. The gallery at number 12 comprises of a main space for wall-based and plinth mounted work, and six display cases. The workshop space is situated on the first floor which also consists of a large, shared studio space with potters wheels and a large print press. Studio Eleven was a Hull City of Culture 2017 partner. A strategic partner in developing the bid and the wider promotion of Hull as a Culture City with interventions exhibited in London and beyond by Adele Howitt. During 2017 we delivered a contemporary exhibition programme with events, workshops, and special performances by Hull Time Based Arts.

The overarching aim for Sliabh Beagh Arts is the development and implementation of a series of community Arts programmes which address the social, creative, economic, cultural, environmental and good relations needs within the area. Our programs aim to promote the importance of our physical and personal environment, looking to the rural for inspiration and exploring the culture in AgriCULTURE. One of our goals this year is to include dance in our project. We will be experimenting with the concept of Sound, Motion, Dance, Projection and Poetry. We have scheduled classes with children in schools from the area . . . we have choirs preparing their voices to be heard. . . the technology of motion and sound is being prepared . . . the poetry of education motion through time and distance is being written. An interdisciplinary UK based visual artist, educator and researcher exploring the potential breaking disciplinary boundaries and finding new ways to approach communication. Exploring how art and science can come together to benefit our health and wellbeing. Sarah has a personal interest in Neurology and Neuro diversity due to having drug resistant Epilepsy. Artist's Practice: Sarah L Goy MA, (Dis) - Animation Production. Sarah initially studied Fine Art and then Natural History Illustration, she now embraces the potential of the moving image. Her focus has always been on emotions, nature and her environment, with a specialisation in drawing and painting from life. Inspired by her travels she aims to capture every day moments in her sketch books, which are the foundations for all her other works. Although taking an analogue and tactile approach to her practice Sarah has become interested in the possibilities and potential of technology, experimental animation and the moving image and how they might be used beyond pure entertainment. This became part of her post graduate research in 2021 and continues to be the core of her research interest. As a visiting lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth ( AUB) and Southampton Art Gallery, she creates and presents new courses, with the emphasis on ' art for all'. Encouraging students to enjoy the process of creating and getting in touch with their inner child. Sarah also creates and runs online art therapy styled creative sessions, again, encouraging a sense of play through which new skills are gained, whilst encouraging a sense of community and inclusivity.

Nottingham Society of Artists is one of the oldest and most successful art societies in the country, founded in 1880. Our aim is to bring together artists and others interested in the Visual Arts who are resident in Nottingham and district. The Society has a proud history of distinguished members whose works can be seen in major national art institutions, whilst other members' works can be found in practically every regional art gallery in the country, including Nottingham Castle. The home of the Nottingham Society of Artists is St Luke's House, pictured left, a three storey Art Deco building in Friar Lane, close to the picturesque setting of Nottingham Castle in the centre of Nottingham. St Luke's House was built for the Society in 1934. It has 4 floors including a basement, gallery, education studio, and members studio. Our studio groups practice Life, Clothed Model, Portrait and Still Life drawing and painting and meet six days and three evenings a week.

For those who enjoy hearing about a subject in greater depth, we have Special Interest Days which allow the speakers more time to share their specialist subject. If you would like to explore further afield we regularly organise visits to museums, country houses and gardens and places of historic and artistic interest, often by coach.

My practice has evolved to include a variety of media. I work with natural inks, watercolours and oils; often combining these with drawn elements, print and collage. Taking a process-led approach through open-ended drawing and painting, my own experience and understanding of nature sustains an individualistic, painterly language. Visualising formal content for abstract work, I allow elements to take their time and rely on my mind’s eye as a guide, unaware of the outcome. Studio experimentation on a range of surfaces generates a family of diverse but connected artworks. This ‘what if?’ process embraces a notion of becoming; something is caught, glimpses perhaps from a kind of reverie, half-dreamed. Often coupling the familiar with the unfamiliar, the paintings I make can be read as a string of things, as a syntax of forms. Analogous to language; the work occupies the space between word and image, voice and brush-mark, sentence and form.
