Both have worked in a variety of clinical settings and bring a huge depth of experience and knowledge to the courses. The aim of the courses are to develop a range of clinical skills in a friendly and supportive manner for all manual therapists including physiotherapist, chiropractors, osteopaths, sports therapists and others. Adam is a Physiotherapist, S&C Coach and Extended Scope Specialist in the Upper Limb who works both in the NHS and private practice. He has over 20 years of clinical experience with 15 of these focusing on the management of shoulder-related issues.  Adam has worked with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings including professional sports. However, regardless of where or who he is working with Adam strongly believes in a simple, honest, and evidence-based approach to all things. Adam has been teaching his pragmatic approach to painful shoulders for nearly 10 years now both nationally and internationally. He is also one of the most followed physios on social media and is well known for his strong, outspoken, and sometimes controversial views on all things in and around the physiotherapy profession.

Mastering Orthopaedic Skills Ltd. is a leading UK company registered in England & Wales (Company No: 12589551). We are dedicated to organising high-quality academic and clinical simulation courses for orthopaedic-themed surgical trainees. Our courses are kindly sponsored by Depuy Synthes and Essity Company, and accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS England) for CPD points. The main aim is to enable aspiring trainees to enhance subject-related knowledge, gain confidence and competence in dealing with orthopaedic emergencies, and further hone clinical acumen and surgical skills in the specialty. We are also looking forward to organising Core Surgical Training and ST3 interview preparation courses for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery very soon! Prof Venu Kavarthapu is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in lower limb orthopaedics. He was appointed as a Consultant at King’s in 2006. He qualified at the AP University of Health Sciences in India, before completing his basic surgical and specialist registrar rotation training in the South East Thames Region. His sub-speciality training included a Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery Fellowship in Los Angeles and a Foot and Ankle Fellowship in London. Prof Kavarthapu was the orthopaedic member of the King's Diabetic Foot Team, which in 2007 won a prestigious Hospital Doctor Award. Prof Kavarthapu lectures at national and international conferences on diabetic foot surgery, trauma, hip arthroscopy, and primary and revision hip arthroplasty. He is also actively involved in research and has published several scientific articles on Trauma and Orthopaedics. Prof Kavarthapu’s other roles include Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, lead clinician for the Orthopaedic department, and Orthopaedic Training Programme Director for SE London. He has been appointed Associate Professor at Odense University Hospital and University of Southern Denmark. He is also chairs the British Indian Clinical and Academic Partnership.

The British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery was founded in 1984 to promote Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery in the UK. It provides a forum for discussion of research, advances in clinical practice and the results of surgical procedures pertaining to the practice of children's orthopaedics and trauma. The National Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA) is a membership organisation that brings together orthopaedic providers across the country to put orthopaedics at the top of the agenda. The alliance is multidisciplinary and leads on collaboration across all orthopaedic services by providing opportunities for members to share experiences and address shared challenges with an aim of delivering consistent, high quality care for patients nationwide. We provide a voice for member organisations who feel that alone they can’t influence change. The NOA has 20 member Trusts and works closely with key stakeholders in orthopaedics including Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) and the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA).
