Coding Black Females was created in 2017. We are a nonprofit organisation, and our primary aim is to provide opportunities for Black female developers to develop themselves, meet familiar faces, network, receive support and build relationships through having regular meetups. We want to meet you if you've been in the industry for 5 minutes, or 10 years, if you work as a freelancer or for a huge corporation. We can learn from and inspire each other, and empower the next generation to achieve success.

Michelle, A.I.S.T.D. , M.B.T.D.A. , Reg RAD Member, began teaching Adult Jazz Dancing in Portishead in 1989. In 1995 the children of the adults wanted a class of their own. Numbers grew rapidly. Michelle also taught for the Bristol School of Dancing (where she trained) from 1986 until February 2014 when the branch was handed over to Michelle. In the Summer of 2014, a super sparkly 25th Anniversary show was staged to celebrate. In June 2016 Michelle was contacted by the BBC to be filmed dancing for the TV programme Street Auction – A fabulous day. MBDS likes to stay in the heart of the community. The children enjoy performing in various events ie carnival, flashmobs,displays etc. MBDS has been involved in the BBC CIN Tapathon for the last 4 years. The school also has 100% exam pass rate. This year the school renamed itself from Jazz on Tap Dance Company to Michelle Bedford Dance Studios. We are a fully ‘inclusive’ school and warmly welcome pupils regardless! Walford Mill Education Trust is a registered charity which aims to promote crafts and making through events, classes, and exhibitions and by providing working space for established and emerging makers. Spring 2019 This spring brings new changes to Walford Mill. The mill, a converted historic watermill in the heart of Wimborne, has been home to Walford Mill Education Trust for over 30 years. Following the need to seek a more sustainable future, Walford Mill Education trust is changing its commercial focus and will be providing new opportunities for talented, local artists, makers and designers. The current shop on the ground floor will be replaced by a brand new education space with existing disabled access via a disabled ramp. Artists, schools, touring exhibitors and makers will soon also be able to book unique flexible art exhibition spaces on the ground floor to showcase their art and craft to the public. Although there is no longer a dedicated shop on-site almost all work on display in the exhibitions and by the makers in their studios is available for purchase, priced to suit all pockets. Studio rental space will double and the new space will be available for hire on the top floor which will be a welcome opportunity allowing local makers and artists to work and exhibit in East Dorset at competitive rates. Graduates and emerging new makers will also be able to benefit from working alongside like-minded artists enabling them to bring their work to the public eye.

We work with those who are struggling to see a better future for themselves on the right side of the law, help break that recurring cycle and those finding it difficult to deal with and make sense of their present situation. Here at the gateland we make a commitment to stand by our service users whilst they navigate the maze of change on there new journey. We work in three key areas in development & support : - Personal Development - Offender Management - Supported Living Working with the three big R's which are the fundamental building blocks at the heart of the gateland where the foundations have been laid for : - Re-training - Rehabilitating - Re-educating Our client group is predominantly young males between the age of sixteen to twenty-two who have been before the courts and are deemed to be at risk or in need of a particular support package. Whilst it is recognise that each local authority will provide the necessary care for it's service users, inevitably there will always be individual cases / areas of training and support that are uneconomical for the authority to provide.

The relational skills came to fruition in 2001, through the work of Dr. Jim Wilder. Chris Coursey worked closely with Jim Wilder in the testing and creation of the THRIVE Training which was heavily influenced by the research of Dr. Allan Schore of UCLA, Dr. Daniel Siegel (UCLA) and more pioneers. Wilder took the best in brain research to develop exercises that Chris tested in the redemptive community setting where he worked. In 2002, the first in-person THRIVE Training was held. In 2006, the team did a major redesign to include intentional timing for skill practices for each of the 19 skills in every training track. 3 years later, THRIVE Training events go international where they have now been led in the US, Canada, South Korea, Australia, with more on the horizon. For the next 10 years, more resources were published, more trainings were held, and soon THRIVE became known for gathering people to practice skills, build relationships and find interpersonal growth. THRIVE Training was originally a training launched through the organization, Life Model Works. Chris and Jen Coursey soon launched an independent organization known as THRIVEtoday, dedicated to creating training resources and running events focused on the acquisition, strengthening and spreading the 19 relational skills to the world. When COVID-19 disrupted life in 2020, THRIVEtoday had to pivot to create more online learning opportunities for skill training and practice. Through the pandemic, the organization launched shorter training events online, wrote books and developed online courses, and made the skills more accessible than ever before. quick facts

Salto is a vibrant and active centre, over 2000 people use our facility every week through schools, parent and toddlers, classes and squads. We are proud to have over 1200 current British Gymnastics members and 50 members of Gymnastics Ireland regularly using our facilities. Through our range of programmes we offer gymnastics activity for everyone. We have created opportunities for our performance gymnasts to move into the Salto Gymfusion display team, sports acrobatics or undertake level 1 coaching awards. This ensures our gymnasts can make smooth transitions from one discipline to another at the same facility within the same gymnastics family. Our Elite WAG and MAG squads have the opportunity to be selected for Celtic Cup, Northern Europeans, Europeans, Worlds, Youth Olympics, UKSG and Commonwealth Games. We are the only gym club in Northern Ireland to be represented at all these events. We have an excellent relationship with our local City Council in Lisburn who provided the land for the facility and were instrumental in our bid to become an Olympic Training camp. Our Club won the Lisburn Sports Club of the year in 2011. In addition to our satellite clubs in the local primary schools, we have excellent links with many schools in NI with 25 schools regularly taking part in gymnastics classes at Salto throughout each week of the school year. In addition we work with local education providers (FE and HE) in the provision of training, coach mentoring, employment and work experience for their students.
