Achieving Success Every student will need guidance and encouragement and at Seven Kings we aim to meet individual needs by providing the right level of challenge and support to ensure students reach their full potential. We support students with this by focusing on providing quality teaching, responding to their needs to ensure the right level of stretch and challenge. There are a range of intervention and support programmes for those students who need extra help, such as those with learning difficulties. We are very proud of the inclusive nature of our school and aim to personalise learning and teaching so that every student is able to succeed. There is a structured home learning timetable and all students are given a planner to help them organise their time and workload. Parents/carers are asked to check this on a weekly basis. There are home learning support clubs at lunchtimes and after school to help students if they need it. The school also has Learning Mentors to support students and mentoring schemes with both staff and student mentors available to support students. Beyond the Classroom There are many opportunities for students to take part in extra curricular activities at Seven Kings. A large number of clubs and activities take place outside lesson times. Staff are committed to providing different opportunities to enrich the lives of Seven Kings' students. Subject based clubs, such as those in Art, Drama, Music, Science, Sport and Technology enhance the curriculum and many trips and visits support classroom learning. We offer a number of residential trips, to places like Paris, Spain, China, outdoor pursuits and a skiing trip to Austria. Students are encouraged to enter competitions and to contribute to the community in different ways. Our peer committees and student leadership programmes help develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for students' views to be heard. There are termly Music concerts and many Drama productions each year which help students develop their performance skills and their self-confidence. The P.E. department run many school teams and have enjoyed considerable success in local competitions.

At Alliance Boxing Club our goal is to provide the opportunity for anyone to keep fit, stay healthy and learn the value of hard work, discipline, self-respect and respect of others. We are an Affiliated Member of the Amateur Boxing Association of England and our trainers are England Boxing Certified. This allows us to provide both a high standard of coaching and offer competitive opportunities to our members on the amateur boxing circuit. We're not all about competitive boxing though. Boxing is a great way to increase fitness levels and manage weight. We have a range of boxing, fitness, strength and conditioning classes, including kids and female only, that provide fun, full body workouts in a positive, friendly atmosphere. Our classes are perfect for helping with weight loss and toning and are designed to allow you to work at your own pace. We can provide 1-2-1 training too or if you prefer you can come down and do your own work out. To keep the club as accessible as possible we like to keep things simple. We don’t charge membership fees or ask you to sign up to contracts. You just pay when you come down to train or take a class. It’s that easy. The club is owned and run by professional boxer Sam Smith and former powerlifter, now boxer Graham Mattison. Sam and Graham are hugely positive and inspiring influences, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the Club. In 2018 they were winners of the Coach Participation Award at the Leeds Sports Awards. Sam has been boxing for over a decade, has held multiple titles including WBF & WBU. Currently the British Masters Champion she is the only British female in her division to be world ranked. Graham has boxed for about 4 years, prior to which he had great success in powerlifting being ranked second in the world at professional level. Our gym is equipped with an array of boxing equipment including cardio machines, punch bags, free weights and strength and conditioning machines. We have our own club mini bus to help our boxers travel around to competitions and championships. We're conveniently located less than a minute from Crossgates Shopping Centre, just off the Leeds Outer Ring Road, making us easily accessible from all across Leeds and beyond. The Rose Arts London was always a childhood dream of mine and it was manifested through a pain in my life, with the loss of my Grandad; Charles Alexander Gardner. He, alongside my Mother and Nan, supported me with my dance and drama training, performance career and attended all classes, auditions and performances. When he passed away, it pushed me to embrace my artistry and passions. The Rose represents three things: A dedication to my Grandad; His favourite flower A name influence; My middle name Rosetta and my mother Rosemarie The flourish of each child who trains with us. As a seed they begin but as ‘The Rose’ they grow. Experience My training began at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and have been training in every discipline, since the age of 3 and teaching dance and drama since the age of 14. Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Liturgical, Street Dance, Jazz, Commercial and Musical Theatre. Further to this, I attended college studied Performing Arts, obtaining distinctions in the art form, allowing me to receive an unconditional offer to University, where I obtained my degree in Dance Practice and Performance. I have had an extensive career in the arts, through stage, film and television and have received such amazing opportunities I am truly grateful for. About T.R.A.L. T.R.A.L. is a place for all Rose Students to discover, train, explore, create, challenge and motivate what they learn here and to ignite their passion, of why dance, drama, sport and song is such an amazing artistic outlet, which not only teaches creativity and utilises talent but also discipline. The role of the arts builds character and self-esteem and at The Rose Arts London, one of the assets that I hold as an important part, is the family friendly atmosphere.This delivers a guarantee from us, that our space is a positive and productive learning environment, where our students can grow, most importantly learn, and create in an energetic, confident building atmosphere.
