Hello and welcome to Newcastle Beekeepers’ Association Honey Bees are fascinating insects and as a group we seek to understand them better and to support their wellbeing. We are a welcoming group who’s common interest is all aspects of local beekeeping. Our Association covers approximately a 20 mile radius from Newcastle into North and South Tyneside, Gateshead and the southern and eastern ends of Northumberland. We are affiliated to the National British Beekeepers Association, which provides significant benefits including: valuable public liability insurance cover, a monthly magazine and access to education and training. We have a year round meeting schedule with talks, beekeeping demonstrations and practical apiary training sessions during the summer months. Our members come of all ages and walks of life, with new members always especially welcome. We enjoy helping those looking to start or develop an interested in beekeeping and you're welcome to come along to up to three meetings to find out more, have a chat and decide if you'd like to become a member. How to Ride Training DART staff provides small group training to help individuals learn to ride the bus in Greater Des Moines. Training will demonstrate how to plan a trip, read maps and schedules, recognize bus stops, pay fares, practice rider safety and more. How to Ride Training sessions are free and open to the public. The Survey Association, known generally as TSA, is the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK. The association was formed in 1979 to give a focus for private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. It is important to realise, however, that it is not a regulatory body. The role of TSA is to promote best practice amongst its members, provide a forum for members for discussion, debate and continuing professional development and, to the wider audience such as engineers and architects, provide guidance on new methods and techniques and a list of suitably qualified and experienced companies. Today, the association has over 200 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, affiliate or academic members directly involved in the geospatial profession. TSA is also involved in lobbying Government departments when appropriate and other agencies such as the Environment Agency regarding policies likely to affect or involve the survey profession. TSA meets regularly with RICS and CICES on a range of issues and has established a group called the SLG, or Survey Liaison Group. This body convenes at regular intervals to examine matters of mutual interest and to ensure that there is little or no duplication of effort by the three bodies. Representatives from the Geospatial Commission also regularly join SLG meetings. The Navigators has grown out of one man’s pursuit of God. Dawson Trotman lived in America. As he sought God, the Lord promised to build him ‘a house’. At a time when the Christian world saw no ministry beyond evangelism, he was led to invest deeply in the lives of the few in order that they could reach the many. This began in the 1930s with US Navy personnel. It grew significantly through WWII. Following the war the Navigators spread out through the world, it is now in over 100 countries world wide. The Navigators came to the UK through the Billy Graham crusades of the 1950s. Billy Graham, frustrated by the unwillingness of local Christians to help those who came forwards at his meetings, asked Dawson Trotman to develop what has since become known as “follow-up”. The Navigators therefore supported Dr Graham in all his crusades. During the Haringey crusades, Christians’ eyes were opened to the possibilities of discipleship, and asked the Navigators to minister in the UK. Initially Joyce Turner came to set up an office for materials and as she did this she also began a ministry among women. As interest developed, more Navigators came to set up ministries in communities and universities, which became the starting block for the current ministry.

Northants Combination The Northamptonshire Combination Football League was formed in 1953 when the Mid Northants League and the Central Village League merged to become the Central Northants Football Combination the current name change was made in 1991. Historically the league consisted of mainly village teams in around Northampton playing on private/parish council grounds. Consequently the Northamptonshire Combination now accommodates a wide range of teams, many from provincial towns using municipal facilities. This has resulted in the league becoming the predominate provider of Saturday 11v11 Adult football in the county. The league provides competitive football across a wide range of abilities in 5 divisions. The league has also worked hard to improve facilities and achieve Step 7 status, which has enabled several clubs to progress up the pyramid. Recently the league has developed its links with youth leagues in order to help facilitate the transition to adult football. The leagues management committee consists of elected league officers and representatives from member clubs. Three mandatory meetings are held each year with member clubs in order to ascertain requirements and developed the league.
