Didac Limited has been a training provider since June 1997, when the company was founded.035-Academy-MJ-CJ-JG-Web Didac has established a reputation for delivering quality training that is second-to-none. Many of our courses are monitored by external organisations, including Awarding Organisations(including, Occupational Award, City & Guilds, and Pearsons) Education and Skills Funding Agency, Matrix and Ofsted. An important step forward came in August 1998, when the company became an approved Provider for Apprenticeships. Since that day, Didac is now at the pinnacle of training provision within the furniture, wood and merchanting sectors, with funding flexibities, opportunities and accreditations. Initially providing services to CNC machine users, Didac has expanded to offer a wide range of training and consultancy services and pride themselves on keeping abreast of the latest requirements and opportunities presented in the world of learning. Experienced team Their roots within this sector run deep. Jon Gibson, Didac’s Managing Director, was himself an apprentice working within the industry, before becoming a lecturer at Brunel College in Bristol from 1989-1995. Commercial Director Martin James was an undergraduate trainee with G Plan Furniture becoming a Chartered Engineer, before moving into CNC router machine manufacture. Didac draws on an experienced team of trainers and assessors who are experts in all areas of delivery, all who have worked in industry as part of their working life. Didac enjoy close working relationships with all the major industry and regulatory bodies, including a large number of trade associations, machine and tooling manufacturers and the HSE.

All too often, corporate health and wellbeing is reactive rather than preventative - trying to tackle a problem once it has appeared, rather than avoiding the problem in the first place. Not only does this send healthcare costs and absence rates through the roof (not ideal), it does little to empower people to establish a healthy lifestyle that will benefit them, their family and the business both now and in the long term. Unhealthy lifestyles are having a debilitating impact on business performance. Exhausted, burnt out, unmotivated, stressed, lethargic, 'wired and tired' people at work are leading to snowballing absence rates and healthcare costs, and are killing morale, productivity and profits. rachP1-2.jpg It's clear to see the impact this is having on business - in 2019 alone UK businesses lost almost £92 million to poor health. And it's not just the business that suffers... when someone isn't looking after themselves - whether that's poor sleep, stress, nutrition, mobility or connection - their families, communities and wider society all miss out. In particular, burnt out, run down. detached leaders will have a huge knock-on effect across all areas of the business, both from a people and an operational perspective. But it doesn't have to be this way. 80% of chronic diseases are caused by lifestyle - and lifestyle is something we can change, together. Through 1:1 and group coaching, I take leaders and teams through a systematic lifestyle behaviour change framework that tackles eight key areas of health and wellness. The result? They're equipped with simple but alarmingly effective tools and techniques at their disposal to make positive, sustainable changes to their lifestyle. They take responsibility and action in supporting their long-term physical and mental health - and everyone benefits (except the healthcare providers, probably).

This means supporting the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments, and building healthier communities. Over the past 12 years we have supported thousands of families to transform family life for the better in all sorts of ways – including improved nutrition, emotional wellbeing, parenting skills, breastfeeding, and getting more active. We have worked with over 15,000 health and early years practitioners and collaborated with NHS trusts, local authorities, and many other partners. Laying the foundations for a brighter future What happens in childhood has a profound bearing on life chances and on physical and emotional health throughout childhood and beyond. Parents want the best for their children, but it isn’t always easy for parents to know what ‘best’ is, or to change entrenched family habits to provide a healthier home environment. HENRY provides a wide range of support for families from pregnancy to age 12 including workshops, programmes, resources and online help. All of our support for families is underpinned by the HENRY approach to supporting behaviour change which helps parents gain the confidence, knowledge and skills they need to help the whole family adopt a healthier, happier lifestyle and to give their children a great start in life. We also work with health, early years, and family support practitioners, helping them develop the skills to support families make real and lasting changes that will help the whole family have a brighter future.
