The coaching concept and range of services provided by Soccer Steps® have been developed by Jim Lowther. He has recruited a team of highly experienced qualified coaches who have worked at Academy level and first team level in the FA Premier League. There is also a wealth of experience in grass roots football coaching as many of the coaches worked in grass roots football before moving on to coach elite players. The staffing is further enhanced by the recruitment of experienced local coaches and UK based sports science experts to help him deliver the various activities. Jim has over 25 years of experience in football development, coaching and sports science. He managed Wimbledon FC’s multiple award-winning football and community programme while the club were in the FA Premier league. As an Academy football coach he worked with Charlton FC (U.12s, U.13s) and Wimbledon FC (U.9s, U.10s). Jim also spent four years as player development advisor at Crystal Palace FC Academy. For the last 15 years he has worked as a university lecturer teaching at UG and MSc level (sports coaching, sports development, match analysis and sport psychology). This broad range of experiences from professional football and higher education helps shape the content and services that Soccer Steps offer.

Company number 09926964 Artisan team is made up of 70 highly skilled, passionate artists with a wide range of abilities and are experienced in working with a variety of exciting media. We were initially funded with a 1 year “Start up Fund” by Arts Council England in 2013 and are now 8 years old and sustainable without funding although special projects are supported from time to time by LUSH and JP Morgan. We thank them for their generosity. We have a beautiful accessible studio with a rear garden, accessible loo and disabled parking. The Founding Director and Lead Artist is Pauline Stanley, BA (Hons) Fine Art, a graduate from Arts University Bournemouth, a socially engaged visual artist and an arts and health practitioner who has worked with many schools, festivals, museums, Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival, Artsreach, visiting lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth and also teaches on international cruises. She has a background in nursing in mental health/learning disability.

A recording of Alastair's live online performance during the Covid-19 crisis for the World Storytelling Cafe Alastair K. Daniel is a performance storyteller, researcher, writer and consultant in storytelling (and related fields) working in the UK and abroad. Following twelve years touring schools in the UK and the Low Countries with The Story Tent, in 2010 Alastair made the move from professional storytelling to academia. In the summer of 2022, Alastair ended his term as Principal Lecturer in Primary English at the University of Roehampton in 2022 to focus on storytelling once more, and develop his work as an independent scholar. Alastair's 'Story Tent' style brings traditional and literary texts to life through physicalisation, puppets, masks, costumes, artefacts, rhymes and songs - creating performances in which the distinction between performer and audience become blurred. The Story Tent project came out of Alastair's use of storytelling as a teaching strategy with children with profound emotional and behavioural difficulties. He found that storytelling (contrasted with story-reading) provided a unique method of drawing children, who often had difficulties with imaginative play, into new worlds. As a consultant and researcher, Alastair has worked with a range of organisations and specialises in the application of oral storytelling in educational contexts and the use of narrative analysis to evaluate educational programmes.

I have been working as a professional fitness coach in and around Nottingham for many years. In that time I have taught within the community and worked with a wide variety of people to enhance their health, fitness and wellbeing. My background is sport and fitness based having achieved a BSc (hons) Sport Science and Administration Degree. Since graduating I have taken on many coaching roles within the fitness industry to help develop and inspire those around me. I have run FitKid sessions for children as well as RSA Exercise To Music Courses for aspiring teachers, worked as a lecturer in local colleges and of course run fitness classes ranging from Circuits and Body Pump to Yoga and Step. I bring this vast experience to my current classes along with a passion to help people be the best they can be and have fun along the way. I have encouraged many people as they start on their fitness journey and motivated them to continue on their chosen path. I love my job, it’s great fun, always interesting and so rewarding… and that’s what I want for my participants. I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the School of Computer Science and Informatics at Cardiff University, working on Human-Computer Interaction and Human-Robot Interaction as part of the Human-Centred Computing Research Group and member of the new Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Human-Machine Systems (IROHMS). Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute, University of Nottingham, I worked in the area of Human-Robot Interaction and Human-Computer Interaction. Also, I was part of the EPSRC project "Autonomous Internet of Things", at the Mixed Reality Lab, University of Nottingham. My research focuses on human-robot collaboration, human-computer interaction, Internet of Things (IoT), and a socially responsible approach for designing technology. I am particularly interested in understanding the impact of technology through a user-centred research focus in different contexts, i.e healthcare, domestic environments, factory domains, and the global south. My background is in Computer Science, I received my Ph.D. at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, working at the HumaLab research group, during that time I explored: The impact of novel interfaces to support the self-report of emotions of informal caregivers/unpaid carers. How digital skills affect preferences of interfaces: Tangibles, Mobiles, and Ambient. Technology and social network use in complex contexts, i.e mothers of children with chronic illness, informal caregiver/unpaid carers of dependent elderlies, and isolated caregivers.

Adult Dyslexia Consulting Ltd was founded by Sally-Ann Morrison with the aim of making assessments for adults more accessible. She has worked in this field for more than 20 years and holds a Masters degree in Adult Dyslexia Diagnosis and Support (ADDS). After completing a degree in Linguistics (York), she worked in adult education and was the Dyslexia Co-ordinator at a large FE college for ten years, simultaneously delivering the Postgraduate Diploma in ADDS for London South Bank University in the North West of England. Following her role as Senior Lecturer on an AMBDA accredited Pg Cert programme, she founded ADC Ltd, and works as an independent SpLD assessor and trainer. The majority of her SpLD assessment work is with FE and HE students, and she also provides specialist tuition and workplace assessment and training. Sally-Ann is a member of the Patoss APC Review team and holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate. All assessments are undertaken under the guidelines issued by the Spld Assessment Standards Committee (SASC). Sally-Ann is fully insured and quality assured. Her mission is to ensure that the assessment process is accessible, meaningful and of direct relevance to the individual so as to provide reassurance, identification of strengths, and suggesting ways forward to ensure equality and the challenging of barriers in both education and the workplace

I am a Reiki Master and a Personal Development Coach. I work with healing energy and give therapy treatments to enhance well-being. I first trained in 2005 and this is when I started teaching reiki and giving healing sessions. I retrained in 2009 with Penelope Quest, who is an international author of several best-selling reiki books. She only taught a couple of reiki courses each year as she was so busy writing. I couldn't wait to enrol on her next course, where I learnt many of the traditional Japanese methods of reiki healing.  Previously, I was a business studies lecturer for 13 years and I was also a mentor for the Princes' Trust, helping others to develop their skills into having their own full-time business. Currently I coach my own students in the area of personal development such as goal setting, managing emotions and building confidence.  In my teaching I am always delighted to share my knowledge and experiences of reiki and personal development and my students come from all over the UK. When I am not working I enjoy singing, reading and I have been learning Italian for a couple of years. Following this she worked for Dalton Pottery in Dumfries & Galloway, assisting people to throw pots and helping with the production of their slipcast ceramics. Whilst traveling in Australia she worked for various potters making functional Pottery on the wheel. On return Lauren moved to Totnes in Devon to work as an Apprentice at Dartington Pottery. Here she gained in depth practical knowledge of pottery workshop practice . Lauren went on to work as Production Thrower for Dartington Pottery until she moved to North Devon to work as Ceramics technician and recreational Teacher at North Devon College. Whilst working at the College she also completed PCET Teacher training qualification. Since the birth of her first Daughter in 2008, Lauren has been mainly working as a mother, whilst also making pots and doing pencil Portraits. Lauren exhibited her porcelain vases as part of Spring Fling 2012, and has exhibited her Ceramics since at Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries. I followed my wonderful art foundation course at Colchester with a degree in ceramics at Birmingham Poly. I founded Dalton Pottery in 1989 with my late husband Geoff and we enjoyed over 25 happy years working together and raising two brilliant sons. They say that the only thing you can be sure of in life, is that it will keep changing. Some of those changes are very hard, and I have found the one thing that always gets me through those challenges is my creativity and the creative community. Chris and Lauren have built such a wonderful resource at Clayworks and I am proud to be part of the team. One of the most rewarding things about spending a lifetime understanding the medium of clay, is passing on those skills to those who are just discovering how meditative and rewarding it is to work with. On completion of his apprenticeship he went on to work for several potters around the UK before beginning to develop his own range of tableware in 2005. In 2006 Chris became potter in residence at the Beaford Arts Centre where he worked until its closure in 2013. In 2009 Chris began studying for an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art graduating in 2011. It was during this period of study that Chris’ work evolved in to the heavily decorated and layered work seen today. In recent years Chris has won several awards for his work and exhibits across the UK in a variety of galleries and live events.In recent years Chris has worked as lecturer of Ceramics at Plymouth College of Art across the BA and MA programs. After graduating Abbie went on to work for Joanna Bird Contemporary Collections, London. Here she planned numerous exhibitions and oversaw the sale of significant ceramic works. Following this Abbie set up a home studio in Sussex. Here she began to develop her own work, primarily working with slab building and throwing.
