Graham McEwing Graham McEwing has gained extensive knowledge throughout his working life within a number of areas from 2005 to the present day. During this time he works with a range of training providers and helps learners achieve their apprenticeships and functional skills within a wide range of course subjects. Currently his key focus would be within the Construction sector and currently provide Level 1 – Health & Safety courses. Kate Blye Kate Blye has achieved significant success with helping learners predominantly working within the construction industry. Kate worked as an Inspector for HSE for 9 years, and has an in depth understanding both of health and safety and of the construction process. She recognises that the practical skills required for construction work aren't always suited to a classroom situation and is passionate about making her training accessible to everyone. Ryan Lee Ryan Lee provides excellent support across many training areas but concentrates on the construction sector when delivering the Level 1 - Health & Safety in a Construction Environment course for OST. Other activities include tutoring for traineeships and apprenticeships. Ryan is passionate about delivering courses and upholding regulatory compliance. Canolfan Maerdy is the Anchor Organisation for the Upper Amman Valley and provides a multifunction community hub, with excellent services, meeting the needs of the community as part of a collaborative effort to regenerate our once vibrant local economy. Its work is focused on the Upper Amman Valley with links and engagement into Carmarthenshire and the Upper Swansea Valley as appropriate. Canolfan Maerdy has a skilled and committed Board of Trustees, employs 22 staff, supported by the work of over 30 committed volunteers to deliver services. Canolfan Maerdy came into being in 2009 as the successor to Amman Valley Enterprise, which had been active in the community for the preceding 20 years. Canolfan Maerdy as a community focused and led organisation and has long been a pathfinder organisation, identifying new needs in the community and developing services, often with others, to meet those needs. A prime example of such a service would be general interest, adult learning courses and clubs now often provided free by volunteers at the library or at very subsidised rates by Carmarthenshire at the Black Mountain and Glanamman Centres. The focus is on working in a complimentary manner with other organisations and agencies, identifying any gaps in services and facilitating development to meet needs as they become apparent.

Our mission is to provide young people (7-13 years old) with the opportunity to learn about art history in depth via hands-on experiences that bring subjects to life in a fun and engaging manner. Whether your child loves painting and drawing, has a fascination with puzzles and riddles, or has recently started to develop strong views about the world, Vincent and Frida will help to cultivate in them a lifelong curiosity about the art they see around them. Our courses will teach students a number of valuable skills including the ability to closely and carefully study artworks, analyse visual information, draw connections with other sociopolitical topics, question historical beliefs and form their own opinions on a broad range of subjects. The immersive and fun courses will run during school term time, with 9 sessions per term. UPCOMING EVENTS Our classes can be booked as a trial lesson (subject to availability). Trial lessons demonstrate our course structure and allow students and parents alike to experience what makes our teaching methods so compelling and unique. Each taster session will focus on a different topic. This beautiful photography gallery is located a short walk away from Russell Square station, and offers a wonderful, bright space for adults to wait whilst their children are exploring the world of art and houses a welcoming cafe .
