In 1983 at a time of record high unemployment a group of local business leaders came together. Their vision? Create an organisation that would enable young people to develop the future skills they needed to obtain work and forge successful careers, while benefiting the community. This organisation became North Wales Training. It steadily grew, responding to local employment challenges. It built strong relationships with private and public sector partners. And it cultivated expert knowledge in the key skills people of the area needed to be successful in modern workplaces. Having already formed a work-based learning partnership with Coleg Llandrillo and Arfon Dwyfor Training Ltd, it was only natural for North Wales Training to partner with the emergent umbrella organisation Grŵp Llandrillo Menai (GLlM) when this was established in 2012. That the Grwp - the largest education provider in Wales - decided to acquire North Wales Training fully in 2018 is a testament to the reputation North Wales Training had earned itself. Over 38 years the company has raised the prospects of thousands of people and businesses on its own and in partnership with leading education providers, always keeping step with the times. It draws on its rich heritage and wealth of experience to offer a comprehensive range of high-quality innovative programmes, training and job opportunities. My name is Sally, and I discovered energy healing when I was seeking solace for my own struggles with poor mental health. I came to a point on my path where I felt that if I did not heal, I may not survive here on Earth. So, I sought healing through yoga, meditation and lifestyle changes, which led me to energy healing, sound healing, light language, plant medicine, nature and community. What I didn’t anticipate, was that I would be strongly called to train and offer healing for others. I answered the call. I believe that my many dances with darkness and my own healing journey have provided me with the experience and initiations required to work with energy, support others, listen to, and truly emphasise with the tremendous pain that one can feel when navigating dark or unsettling periods of life. I am still healing, evolving and learning, but these practices have truly transformed my life, so I feel incredibly honoured to share them with you. Energy healing can support us on our path in a myriad of ways. If you’re feeling lost, stuck, at a cross-roads, or struggling with poor self-image, self-worth, indecision, or illness, energy healing can help us to find balance, clarity and encourage our body’s natural ability to heal. It can also offer us so much more. Embarking on a healing journey can help us to reconnect with our soul purpose, our reason for being here on earth at this time. It can support us in recovering our gifts and passions, and help us to find our inner fire so that we can share them with others, or step more fully into who we truly are. You hold so much knowledge and wisdom inside of you, but so many of us have forgotten how to tap into our inner truth or connect to our intuition. I create sacred spaces and ceremony, so that you can remember who you are. To reawaken your inner fire, release trauma, and connect to likeminded souls in beautiful community. Hi I'm Jo Westfoot, the owner of The Crafty Nomad. The Crafty Nomad offers online education to quilters on many areas of patchwork and quilting. Our mission is to help quilters gain in confidence, gain new skills and get better results and more satisfaction with their makes. All of our classes are pre-recorded so you can learn when it's convenient to you. Some classes and our membership have Live Zoom sessions with me to clarify learning. Have you always wanted to learn how to weave? Sarah Ward, Founder of Lark & Bower offers a variety of online weaving workshops including 'off-loom weaving', rock weaving, paper weaving and also darning and visible mending. 'Off-Loom' weaving is essentially weaving without a loom, around found objects like wood, tiles or rocks, using needle and thread. It's brilliant for first time weavers, as it helps us to understand the basics of woven structure, without the added complexity of the loom. These workshops are suitable for all ages and all levels, from total beginner, to seasoned weavers - so if you're thinking of taking up weaving, or just looking for a new direction to take your craft, these workshops are a great place to start! The main focus of the workshop is the simple twill, and from there, we'll try a dogtooth, and even a check! We'll play with colour, texture and pattern and discover the magic of weaving. It's simpler than it looks! As an environmental activist, the main focus of Sarah's work is to share knowledge through craft. She uses her woven work to advocate weaving as an art form, encouraging the learning and passing on of skills in traditional crafts, keeping the ancient craft alive but also raising awareness about waste and the impact of fast fashion on our planet.
