The Horse Institute is the vision of Marie-Claude Stockl and Larry Stockl, two seasoned corporate executives who grew frustrated with spending valuable training budgets on the same old courses year after year. Born to Carry was born out of the need to bring together excellent trainers under one umbrella, providing a high standard of training while allowing individual interest and skills to flourish. Community – We provide support to our trainers and learning opportunities for each other. We pride ourselves on the provision of excellent Babywearing Peer Support courses and the friendly supportive network we have built (and continue to build) for our trainers and our Babywearing Peer Supporters. Accessibility – At Born to Carry we believe that everyone who wants to learn about carrying should have an opportunity to do so. All of our trainers and our coaches are able to adapt to meet individual needs. Inclusivity – Born to Carry continues to work towards better understanding of inclusivity in our industry and beyond. We are open to continuing to learn more and actively working on being the best we can be. Growth – We recognise that no one holds all the answers and strive to continue learning every day. Like thousands of parents across the UK, mother of three, Reedah El-Saie was frustrated with an antiquated education system originally designed post industrial revolution to prepare children for factory work. She had witnessed how exams and revision had caused her children stress and anxiety, resulting in them losing their love of learning. As a family of diverse heritage Reedah hoped for a more inclusive curriculum both in terms of content and delivery. In winter 2018, whilst preparing her son for 11+, Reedah came across Fortnite often played during revision breaks. She noticed how the 3D open world, multi-player, action game appealed to children across the world. She imagined an educational game through a 3D open world, including diverse characters and stories, fully aligned with the UK national curriculum and 11+/13+ entrance exams, enabling learning through play. After extensive but fruitless research for a pre-existing educational mobile games app aligned with the UK national curriculum, Reedah founded Brainspark Games (previously Xplorealms). Her vision was to create a 3D open world, celebrating diverse characters, using immersive technology to engage wider audiences as well as BAME, vulnerable and neurodiverse. She researched the curriculum pedagogy, twenty-first century skills movement and flip schools and held workshops and interviewed children, parents and teachers to ensure user-led games!

Welcome to the Ark Academy website. Ark Academy is an all through school that offers excellent learning from nursery through to higher education. In an all through school, school parents can expect their son/daughter to transfer seamlessly from primary to secondary school. We now have three years of Ark primary students who have transferred to secondary. We are one and share the same values and expectations. Our aim is to ensure that all our pupils develop as high achieving, confident, articulate young people whose education fully equips them to go on to university or the career of their choice and this starts from an early age. Ofsted have stated: “A great deal of work has brought about a new school that has quickly established high expectations and secured impressive progress in the short period since opening. Pupils make outstanding progress in their studies.” We are very ambitious for all our pupils and believe that our emphasis on the study of subjects in depth is a key feature of our success. From 3.30 to 4.30pm we also enrich our offer with a wide variety of activities, from extra sports and clubs to extended support for literacy, mathematics and science. We also spend a great deal of time ensuring that as teachers we are well prepared and continuously learning and enhancing how we teach in order to extend our students.
