We pride ourselves on providing 1:1 training with our experienced instructors for people who are learning for the first time or for experienced drivers wanting to update their qualifications with CPC training. Castle LGV Training was first founded by retired firefighter, Malcolm Mackay, back in 1980. Over the years Malcolm and his team have trained hundreds of people allowing them to start their careers in various industries such as firefighters, ambulance drivers, paramedics, long distance lorry drivers, refuse collectors….the list goes on! The business is now operated by husband and wife duo, Neil and Nikki. Neil is a retired firefighter and Nikki has had an extensive career in business management. Bramcote College Sixth Form, part of Bramcote College and of the White Hills Park Trust, is situated in the village of Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, alongside Green Flag awarded parkland and just off the main road connecting the cities of Nottingham and Derby, with excellent transport links to the cities and to the local surrounding areas. We offer a full range of A Level subjects as well as Level 3 applied and vocational options across multiple subject areas to meet the learning needs of a variety of student profiles. We pride ourselves in knowing every student as an individual as well as the importance we place on inclusion through our robust pastoral system. I'm a father of three teenagers, a partner, an ex-partner, a brither, a son, an uncle, a friend but work wise, a qualified Social Worker and a professional and personal coach. I am also a qualified Social Worker. I have a background of over 18 years in children's social care, with over 10 years of those as a Social Worker, and manager. I've worked with 100s of people who have struggled in their lives in some way shape or form. I'm a straight-talking coach, kind and empathetic, but not here to be a friend. I am not a mentor, this means that I do not profess to be an expert in anything, I am however very knowledgeable and skilful in asking powerful questions and provide my clients with the thinking space they need to think something they have never thought before. I'm an insightful and deep thinker and am passionate about making the world a better place to live for me and my family. Cardiff Storyteller and Singer Cath Little has “rough magic” in her voice, and in her words “the gift of the story comes through.” She has a strong belief in the power of stories to connect us to one another, to the land, and to the people who once lived here. She tells traditional stories from her Irish English heritage and her Welsh homeland. Cath enjoys re-imagining and retelling stories from The Mabinogion. Cath helps run the Cardiff Storytelling Circle and curates their seasonal concerts, Tales for the Turning Year. She tells and listens to stories at Oasis, a Cardiff Charity which offers a warm Welsh welcome to refugees and asylum seekers. Cath keeps busy sharing stories in schools, libraries, museums, castles, cafes and fields. She has performed at festivals across Britain and Ireland and is the author of Glamorgan Folk Tales for Children. My father told me stories and my mother read me them. The family was, and is, full of wonderful storytellers. When I started teaching English in London Secondary Schools it came naturally to me to tell stories: I told stories to help the children into poetry, into Shakespeare, into their own creative imaginations. When I taught English in Italy and in Egypt I found that stories take away the stress of learning another language and give a real reason for listening. When I became a Steiner Waldorf Early Years Teacher I learnt more about the power of stories to nurture and to heal. And then one day I met a professional storyteller! Then I knew that’s what I had to be. Since then I’ve been on the path, following my bliss, and have worked as a professional storyteller since 2006.
