The KDS is an organisation committed to practicing and teaching Karate-do as taught by Master Mitsusuke Harada and the style is open to anyone with a genuine interest in learning karate. History The KDS was established in 1965 by Mitsusuke Harada. With his own organisation now formed, Master Harada distanced his organisation from the many political wranglings of other martial arts groups at that time. Harada Sensei, as he is referred to by his students; could now focus on the KDS, without outside influence. Therefore concentrating on the true essence of Karate-do, it’s practice. Karate is a form of self defence that does not rely on using any weapons. Karate just trains you to defend yourself using your own body movement. It is fun to learn and regular training improves your fitness and flexibility as well as your concentration and dexterity. Master Harada was awarded a 5th Dan (1956) personally by Gichin Funakoshi (O’Sensei) the founder of modern day Karate-do on mainland Japan. Master Harada has sought no higher grade since then. The grade of 5th Dan is the highest award given by the KDS. A tradition which was inherited from O’Sensei who accepted no higher than this. The KDS as an organisation, is non-profit making. Money is put back into the organisation for the betterment of its members.

Hi, I am Scott and I started Wee Wobblers in 2017. The inspiration for the classes was my love of cycling and teaching my daughter Ayla how to ride her bike. I have always loved Ayla taking part in group learning and classes and when I looked for something like Wee Wobblers there was very little being offered in Scotland. I started in Paisley Lagoon in 2017 offering two classes, very quickly this became three and then to meet the demand we started to offer Sunday sessions in Renfrew. Speaking with the parents in the classes I realised that people were travelling from near and far to our classes which gave me the confidence to expand. Fast forward to today and Wee Wobblers has expanded across the West of Scotland offering classes in 6 areas with a total of 23 classes a week!! We are very lucky to have a great team of instructors who all have a passion for teaching children how to cycle. All our areas follow the same structure and lesson plans as our formula for teaching the children has proven to been highly successful. I completed my first teacher training with The Frame Academy in 2017, whilst working full time in London. Since then I have been enjoying the process of continuously learning, growing and challenging myself with various trainings, amazing teachers and many different inspirations. I believe the healing, calming power of nature, and after 5 years in the big smoke I recently left to spend more time by the big sea. I love being in, on or by the sea, my Moroccan rescue dog Pumba, coffee, poetry, campfires and planning retreats, adventures (and adventurous retreats). After five years in London and a long lockdown in a little surf village on the Moroccan coast, I am now in the New Forest. I completed my first training 200 hour vinyasa teacher training with Emily-Clare Hill and Michael James Wong at the Frame Academy. I’ve since studied Yin & Ayurveda with The Yoga People, Assisting Techniques with Sunday School Yoga and Trauma-Informed Yoga with Ourmala. I am also a BSUPA paddleboard instructor and SUP yoga teacher, which I absolutely love! Yoga, on the water, under the sky – what’s not to like?! I love sharing the practice of yoga and any tools, techniques or little things that I have figured out along the way that can help others feel more connected to their bodies, to others and the world.

I started grooming at the age of 17 after my mum and I had a discussion about working together. Previously I had already completed a grooming course as part of an animal care course at a local college and I was working as a vet nurse assistant at Kingsteignton Vet Group. We decided to enrol on a dog grooming course and we loved every minute. My mum, Gill and I then started Fido Sassoon Canine Beauticians. We started grooming out of our garage but soon found we needed more room. We opened up the front of the garage into a shop front and business boomed even more. Having a business was a huge and steep learning curve. I had to learn quickly about customer relations, handling, advertising, and the key to success which I believe is always being involved in the community. In 2009, I competed in my first competition and was proud to take home the title of YKC Groomer of the Year. In 2013, I decided I would like to move on and experience more of the grooming world. I accepted a job as grooming manager for Pets at Home. I learned a lot from this experience and attended lots of seminars with industry experts. However I felt that the large corporation world was not for me.
