Amongst our group of instructors we have qualified bike mechanics, ‘Breeze’ leaders, British Cycling coaches and experience of working with disabilities. Our Bikeability instructors also deliver our balance bike programme and adult cycle training. Our sister company Inclusive Pedals CIC is a social enterprise delivering many community cycling initiatives (Dr Bike, Adapted Cycling, Cycling Without Age & 'Couch to 10 Miles') with the same staff involved as well as a team of volunteers. Wheely Fun Wheels Ltd is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The business is run by Alastair Meikle who was raised in Chesterfield and after leaving school spent 30 years working for the Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Services. One of a very few people who regularly cycled to work at the London Air Traffic Control Centre! Following his decision to leave air traffic control he spent a year touring Europe in a motorhome with his family and bicycles before relocating back to Chesterfield and starting Wheely Fun Wheels. Alastair was the winner of the national Modeshift award in 2017 'Individual Contribution to Sustainable Travel' and in 2019 delivered practical training workshops at the national Bikeability conference. Whilst we are often on our bikes for our daily transport needs most of us also tour on our bikes, do the occasional race and take part in sportives, one of our instructors organises long distance rides in the Peak District. Instructors are members of Chesterfield Cycle Campaign. Check out local cycling maps and route suggestions on their website. My name is Amy and I am the founder of Little Leopards. I am currently studying a Parent and Baby Wellness Diploma with Blossom & Berry which focuses on the first 1001 days of life and the importance of love and nurturing touch. I am also a fully qualified mental health first aider and I am passionate about mental well-being for both adults and infants alike. I am mum myself to a baby girl called Isla and I strongly believe that creating supportive spaces for new parents is vital and because of this the idea for Little Leopards was born. Becoming a parent can be scary. You constantly question yourself, worry whether you are doing things right or whether you are going to be judged but you shouldn’t! You are the most amazing person to your baby and you are all that your baby needs and I want to be able to provide a warm, welcome and judgement free space for parents to truly embrace this and grow in confidence.

My background in leadership development, occupational psychology, executive coaching, organization development and neuroscience gives me the skills and experience to help any client in any industry to maximise their potential for performance. I work with a small number of experienced associates, whom I’ve known for several years. I have self-funded all the qualifications I need to be able to offer a professional and reliable service. These are listed in the right-hand column. My professional development is continuing as I work towards Chartered Coaching Psychologist status. My professional career includes 9 years as a commissioned officer in the British Army, reaching the rank of major by 30 years old and fulfilling roles as an HR Director/Company Secretary of an infantry battalion (1st Battalion The Green Howards) on operations in Northern Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I led the first-ever British Army expedition to Lake Baikal, the World’s largest freshwater lake, in Siberia, Russia in 1995, lasting 3 months. After leaving the Forces, I held operations management roles in Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini and Accenture, before working for a number of boutique psychology consultancies, including Chimp Management, a company closely involved with various Team GB Olympic sports including cycling, swimming, taekwondo and canoeing. I am supervised by an EMCC and ICF-accredited supervisor. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which compliments my skills workshops on managing stress and building resilience. For my own wellbeing, I enjoy running, hill walking and real ale, occasionally combining all three by taking part in mountain marathons followed by a well-earned break in a local pub to refuel and recover. I enjoy reading history and biographies (as well as psychology, it goes without saying!), and I try to keep my German and Russian above the level of embarrassed British tourist asking for directions to the beach.
