The mindfulness practices include guided meditations and some gentle movement.&nbsp;What is home practice?&nbsp;Each week we learn a new practice together during the session and participants are given an audio recording of that practice to complete at home. This is because it takes 8 weeks of consistent practice for the benefits of mindfulness to take place. To really get the most out of this course, participants are advised to make space for home practice. (20 - 40 minutes a day)&nbsp;&nbsp;Please note that although mindfulness is therapeutic in nature, it is not therapy and should not be used as a replacement for professional therapy or medication. Walking meditations is one of the most useful and grounding ways of attending to our body. It is a simple and universal practice for developing calm, connected-ness, and embodied awareness. It can be practised on a daily basis, before or after sitting meditation or anytime on its own, such as after a busy day at work or on a lazy Sunday morning. With our walking meditation course students will learn the art of walking,  art of meditation, to use the natural movement of walking to cultivate mindfulness and wakeful presence.
