Nilay Islek was born in Izmir, Turkey. She completed her elementary and high school education in this city. Photography became her interest in her high school years. In 1999, she entered Dokuz Eylül University Fine Art Faculty and graduated with the thesis “Sensual Projections” in 2003. She completed her Master Degree in the same faculty with her thesis “Visual Culture and Social Memory in the Context of Digital Photography Aesthetics” in 2009. Islek started to perform Advertising Photography in 1995 during her education. While she moved up the career ladder, she became a sought instructor and gave lectures in several schools and associations such as Izmir Fen High School and Izmir Association of Photography Art (IFOD). Universiade 2005 Izmir Summer Plays was her first important international event as a member of the editorial board. After that, she has participated in several international events and projects. Her newest project is Izmir- Bremen Photography Artist Residency Program “Elsewhere” between 2017-2018. In the meantime, Nilay Islek started her own atelier, Artlens Visual Culture and Photography, which is a continuing education centre in the field of photography for eight years now. In 2016, Nilay Islek is chosen for the international title of Fujifilm “X-Photographer” as the first woman photographer from Turkey. She’s been given Basic Photography Courses Fujifilm Education Centre in Izmir as the official instructor of Fujifilm. She worked as a lecturer at Izmir Economy University between 2015-2018. On the other hand, her academic career is going on at the Ege University Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema PhD program. She lives and continues her life of art in London. IORBC aims to improve awareness of this treatment modality and to develop and host educational materials for the benefit of physicians, patients and other stakeholders. Ultimately, we are working towards developing a comprehensive syllabus in order to equip radiation specialists with the tools that are needed to effectively and safely deliver benign radiotherapy. We will also send out newletters, host an annual conference and empower local groups. Lastly, we will encourage and aid collaboration with other relevant specialties and radiation oncology societies.

With no audition and no previous choir experience required, Rock Chorus offers you an opportunity to be part of a vibrant, lively community of singers. Every voice counts here at Rock Chorus and you can rock with us too! Rock Chorus was formed in 2009 by acclaimed singer/songwriter Lauren Field. She now has around 300 members across five choirs in Pinner, Dunstable, Berkhamsted, Milton Keynes and Northwood Hills. Rock Chorus rehearse once a week in each location and the choirs come together for concerts and charity performances. Rock Chorus have appeared at The Tring Festival, The Waterside Festival at Milton Keynes, The Pepper Rock Concert in Berkhamsted, the Woburn Oyster Festival and at Strictly Come Hospice in Watford Colosseum in aid of the Watford Peace Hospice, to name but a few. We have also appeared on several TV and radio programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky 1. For 9 years running we have performed to sell out audiences at the Stantonbury Theatre and The Venue in Milton Keynes raising over £40,000 for the Bletchley Lions Club charities. Our concerts dates just keep on coming and we are in demand across all of our areas throughout the year. We are now a regular fixture at the Ideal Home Christmas Exhibition and this Christmas holiday was a well needed break after an extremely busy term of Christmas performances and our now legendary Rock Chorus Christmas parties! Rock Chorus has recorded two original singles, "This is our Time," written by Lauren Field and Charles Foskett and "A Million Souls" written by Lauren Field, Charles Foskett and Brian Bennett (The Shadows). In April Rock Chorus recorded their new song at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Rock Chorus headlined and produced its own charity concert, headlining a Concert to an audience of 1000, and with guest stars Mungo Jerry, Osibisa, Alvin Stardust, Tight Fit and Voices with Soul, raising £15,000 for the McMillan Cancer Unit at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. As part of our ten year celebration we will be putting on a concert at the Watersmeet Theatre in Rickmansworth. We hope that all members will get involved as Every Voice Counts at Rock Chorus!

Hi, I'm Loren Snow: an autism trainer based in Bristol. I’ve spent the past decade studying mental health, psychology, relationships, identity, and just about anything to do with why we humans think and act the way we do. I believe that we're all human, and make mistakes, fumble, fall, laugh, love - and despite our differences, we all share this same connection. I'm a strong believer in having the courage to be open and honest and that our truth and vulnerability can be powerful forces in showing us how connected we really are. In my early-twenties I was diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, and OCD. For me, these were revelations, and all the strange ways I behaved started to make sense. But why in my twenties... surely someone should have noticed or said something?!? As I came to learn more about autism I soon realised that my experience was all too common. The reality is there are many complicated things around autism, such as echolalia, alexithymia, and proprioception; there are many misconceptions in the media, such as autistic people lacking empathy; and there are many mis/un-diagnosed autistic adults out there like I used to be. This made me decide that I should explain these things so others wouldn't have to struggle as I did. I've spoken on podcasts, radio, to large and small crowds. My YouTube videos have been watched by tens of thousands! I've taught thousands of parents of autistic and ADHD children and teach regular courses to parents and autistic people. I see many businesses confused about how to help, parents lost on what to believe, and autistic people struggling to understand themselves. After finishing school I was fortunate enough to be chosen for another full time scholarship place at Millennium Dance 2000 College for 3 years performing arts training. Even with all this incredible training I still look back fondly at the small performing arts school I attended one night a week in Leeds : Scala Kids. I owe a lot of my skills to the training I received there and would look forward to going to my classes every week without the pressure of taking exams or doing competitions. I was made to feel like part of the "Scala" family and felt free to be creative and express my talents. This is how I want the Theatre Skills Academy to be- a place where kids can come to be creative, build confidence, feel equal, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have FUN.
