It started when I began to learn more about the conditions for egg production and I realised that free-range wasn’t the wonderful happy situation that I thought it to be. The standards for labelling products as free-range are not as high as the marketing would suggest. (I am of course speaking in general terms and I know that this won’t apply to all farms, but it appears to apply to the majority). As a vegetarian at that time I’d already thought that I was quite ethically aware with what I bought, and it dawned on me that there must be many other people buying and supporting products that they also think are ethically sound, and that these people too may be interested to know more. Passion for performing arts! As a professional dancer, this prompted me to come up with an idea for a show to raise awareness on global issues and ethical living - not just animal welfare, but also climate change and human rights. However I realised that if the audience are inspired to make ethical changes or learn more, simply watching a show would not give them the tools to do that. Hence the creation of Impact – awesome events and activities to inspire change, with incredible live performances, the tools needed to live ethically and fun ways to implement everyday ethical living even for the busiest of lives! Don’t be put off by the heavy topics we’re dealing with, our events are fun and uplifting, with a vision of making positive changes. I’m not claiming to be perfect, nor am I trying to preach. I’m still learning too. I just know our planet is wonderful, as is the human race and all life that shares Earth with us.

The Society of Saint Pius X is an international society of priests dedicated to the maintenance and celebration of the Traditional Catholic Mass. Its main purpose is the formation and support of priests who conduct apostolic work in schools and parishes all over the world. The worthy celebration of Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is a central tenet of Catholic spirituality. Our apostolic activity is centred around the Holy Sacrifice and all that pertains to it and our dedication to the formation of priests comes of devotion to the Mass. In 1991, in answer to families seeking a good Catholic education for their children, a small boarding school was opened in Hampshire. Staff and children were, and continue to be, able to experience the unique privilege of a Catholic environment centred around Holy Mass. With the passage of time, families and faithful have moved to the area, desirous of regular access to the sacraments. With the permanent presence of priests and religious, the school community has grown and developed into a thriving Catholic parish centred around the Tridentine Mass - the largest of its kind in the U.K. The small school chapel has long become insufficient to cater for the needs of the ever-growing number of souls in need of pastoral care. It has become urgent to relieve the school from the demands of parish ministry and to provide a dedicated space for parish growth. With over 40 baptisms in the past 3 years, it is time to rise to the challenge. We wish to build a church worthy of the Divine Guest Who seeks to give Himself to souls, a church where everyone can come to visit Him Who resides within. St. Michael’s forms the largest traditional Catholic community in the country and yet it has no church. The project is underway to give God a new house and home.

Capoeira is an art which combines fighting and dancing elements and makes it as one whole fighting style. If you want to train your sense of rhythm, agility, smoothness of movement, dynamics, coordination and improve your physical condition, the art of capoeira is just for you. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how tall you are or how much you weigh – it’s a completely safe martial art with something for everyone. If you want, sign up and come to the class and you will find that capoeira gives you a lot of satisfaction. Capoeira was born in the 18th century in Brazil, which is still today the cradle of this martial art. Smooth kicks, dodges and changes to the rhythm of the music are the basis of this martial art, unique in many respects. There are several styles of hers, some of which focus more on movements to the music and others on aspects more related to combat. The assumption of capoeira is spectacular body play, which equips them with fitness, teaches them to feel and is a source of pure pleasure. It has the form of shows enriched with music, during which smooth, rhythmic swings, punches, and dodges are performed, but in a non-contact manner, so completely safe. Capoeira engages not only the body but also the senses. Capoeira has no limits and does not impose anything on you. You want and you can do anything, but you don’t have to do anything. It is a feast for the body and soul, with the legs playing the main role – they are used to make most of the strokes, while the hands are used for passages and dodges. Capoeira teaches balance and stabilization, while relaxing and exercising the body, allowing you to express yourself and at the same time cut yourself off from everyday problems.
