We encourage participants to explore positive emotional qualities, develop their understanding of themselves and others, and find creative solutions to obstacles. We currently work with women and children recovering from trauma, domestic violence, trafficking and abuse, those living with chronic illness or terminal illness, and children and young people with mental health or wellbeing needs.

Ignatian Spirituality Course

The aim of the course is to form participants in The Art of Spiritual Direction and in giving the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola in their various forms. We aim to support participants in discerning where God is leading them in their ministry. For some, this will be to work in forms of spiritual direction and giving retreats. Others may be led along other avenues. The course is led by an experienced staff of laypeople, religious and clergy, and runs for one day a week (11 am to 4 pm) over three years. The course year runs from September to July. In addition to the usual ‘in-person’ Course based at the Jesuit Centre in London, we are also offering an online version of the Ignatian Spirituality Course, also running from this September 2022.

The Sutton Education Trust was set up on 1st February 2017. The Trust comprises of the following 7 Sutton schools: Beddington Infants; Culvers House Primary; Dorchester Primary; Foresters Primary; High View Primary; Muschamp Primary and Nonsuch Primary. Sherwood Park special school are also associate members and partner with the Trust. , The Sutton Education Trust is a Co-operative Trust. This means that stakeholders, be they pupils, staff, parents/ carers, governors are full members and contribute in many ways. People who work and live locally, family members of our children as well as past pupils themselves can also join the Trust. There are also opportunities for other groups or bodies such as other schools and educational establishments to become members of the Trust. Currently these include Crystal Palace Football Club and Orchard Hill College.

Facilitate player understanding of the value of voluntary service, community and charity participation, through meaningful and positive experiences, working with football clubs, schools, charities and community organisations. Develop programmes and activities in a ‘player-led’ way which builds the skills and leadership qualities of players, develops opportunities for mentoring and enhances access to education and training to offer opportunities for an alternative career pathway for players in the event that they don’t make it as professional footballers. Create volunteering and employment opportunities, to help build career opportunities for 18 to 25 year olds who aspire to work in the sports industry.

Our mission is to give hope and opportunities to children and young people in West London, so they fulfil their potential and leave prepared and excited for adult life. The Avenues team of youth professionals provides a safe, caring, youth-led space in a disadvantaged inner-city area, where young people can learn, develop and build towards a brighter future. Open-access after-school and holiday programmes take place in our purpose-built youth centre in North Westminster. Activities encompass sport, healthy cooking, music, art, dance, radio, skills development and career pathways. Delivered by our experienced team, the work is child-centred and promotes enjoyment, collaboration and individually tailored support towards personal development.
