A Level Results Day 2024 saw significant improvement with the proportion of students securing top grades (A* to B) rising by 6% to 58%. 83% of all grades were A* to C (up 8%) providing a strong foundation as students go on to higher education and the world of work. A record number of students will start degree courses at universities including UCL and Oxford. Over half of students have secured places at Russell Group or top 25 ranked UK Universities, and they will complete their studies in subjects ranging from Mechanical Engineering to PPE, and from Design to Psychology. The number of students going on to study either Law or Medicine has increased, showcasing the impact of the school’s Pathways Programmes. Other students hold places on competitive and prestigious degree apprenticeships. Without doubt, these destinations place Westminster City School as one of the most successful 6th Forms in London and this year’s outcomes are a key step in achieving our goal of being the 6th Form of choice in the heart of London. HomeAbout What happens when you pit a lifelong procrastinator against the biggest test of his life? Trouble. I’m Miles, a recent graduate from the MOT program at the University of Utah. Being a podcast junkie myself, when I was studying for the NBCOT exam I wished there had been a podcast to help me make some progress when I was driving, at the gym, or just not feeling like banging my head against a computer screen. My goal with the podcast is to make the journey I had to take a little easier for other aspiring occupational therapists. Person I’m a huge nerd with a passion for basketball, sushi and OT. I’m always on the hunt for a good Netflix recommendations. My path to OT was a little strange. I worked in tech support during my undergrad and graduated in advertising, but not before taking the pre-reqs for OT school. I love the combination of creativity and purpose in our profession and consider myself lucky to have stumbled across it before I joined the ranks of [insert PT joke here]. Environment I was born and raised in Minnesota, lived in Japan for two years and am currently looking forward to having an actual income for Utah’s next ski season. Occupation I’m currently working at an inpatient acute rehab hospital and loving it. __________________ . __________________ That’s the gist of it. The Directory was founded in 2017, primarily to showcase a curated collection of ethical fashion and ethical beauty brands, but it quickly evolved into something far bigger. Brands are checked against criteria that include ethical, sustainable, circular, regenerative, and charitable business practices. We also recognise that vegan consumers and non-vegan brands regard ethics in different ways and we remain inclusive, offering a place for those who can demonstrate ethical practices towards both people and animals. All of our brands are carefully selected by our founder Roberta Lee with the style-conscious consumer in mind., so they not only have strong values but look great too. Ethical Brand Directory was set up after the frustration our founder Roberta Lee experienced trying to find ethically produced clothing that didn’t compromise on aesthetics. She found that her clients wouldn’t switch to ethical brands unless it was easy. Roberta also noticed the number of brands she discovered didn’t last long, and would go out of business after 1-3 years. Saddened by this, she was determined to find a way to help them. In 2019 she started to offer a variety of support to ethical businesses, and provide opportunities to help them grow.

The multi award-winning Manhood Academy for Boys was birthed by 8 men who shared a single vision. Following a trip to Gambia by 4 of the co-founders of Manhood Academy, in February 2016 a community call out brought them together in the same room, meeting at an Ethiopian restaurant in South London. At the end of the round table meeting they unanimously chose to “Be the change we wish to see in the world” by collectively establishing The Manhood Academy.Each founder previously holding a distinguished track record in youth work, from a BAFA award winning senior educator to working on the streets of London with urban youth. The Manhood Academy officially launched to the community at Park View Academy, London on October 15th, 2016.A curriculum was co-designed from the collective wealth of experience of the founders, and the nameManhood Academy, Womanhood Academy & Parenthood Academy were coined. Established under the umbrella (CIC) community interest company name: Lifehood Academy on 15 May 2017.
