2econd Chance C.I.C. is a computer recycling not-for-profit committed to reducing e-Waste and a training provider for people furthest away from the job market. Alongside providing professional computer recycling services, including free computer collection and secure data destruction, we also deliver free accredited training programmes for people not in employment, education or training. What we do Working under supervision and as part of a team, our trainees learn how to refurbish donated machines which are then sold at affordable prices, to fund the program. As an organisation we are committed to bridging the digital divide in our area so a percentage of our refurbished computers are donated through our community partners to ensure they reach people in need. Why support us By donating your unwanted machines, not only will you be stopping them from going to landfill but you will be providing meaningful training and employment opportunities for people with learning difficulties and SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) needs. What we need Working desktops, laptops and tablets up to 8 years old. We don’t collect WEEE waste as everything is reusable. If “WEEE” is to be re-used, then it never becomes a waste and can be classified as used electrical and electronic equipment (UEEE). Therefore, UK waste laws do not apply. Secure Data Destruction Data destruction takes place at our secured London premises. We issue certification giving you complete peace of mind that your data has been irretrievably erased.

ClayKilnCraft is an independent educational and training pottery set in the heart of Crystal Palace, South East London. Started in 2014 by ceramic artist Aliya Rashid giving wheel lessons in her studio for beginners, the company has evolved into a thriving creative space teaching people of all abilities to throw, handbuild and explore their inner artist while improving and building on their skills. After graduating in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art with a first class honours degree, Aliya fell into teaching by accident after she was recommended by a friend to teach pottery at a centre 
for special needs adults in London. ‘It was a very challenging, but rewarding experience. I came away from that summer project completely humbled. I knew I wanted to do more. ‘It started small, with monthly lessons. When my students wanted more I found space in a basement converted toilet! And yes, it was as grim as it sounds. When it rained the smell was… very pungent! ‘I was thrilled to find the shop I’m in now. It’s taken a lot of hard work to get it to this stage. It’s all been done with sheer hard work, doing two jobs to finance everything. This is an independent studio and I’m determined it should stay that way. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun and supportive whatever my students aims are. The studio is looking fantastic and the facilities improve on a weekly basis. ‘As well as core courses and classes for beginners and intermediates, we now offer open access to people of all abilities. The studio helps people to develop at their own pace to make what interests them whether they are hobby potters and just want to relax after a hard days work or they are serious potters looking to sell or exhibit their work. In a world of constantly changing legislation and standards, BCAS plays a crucial role in driving progress in the compressed air industry. Founded in 1930, the British Compressed Air Society is the only UK technical trade association open to manufacturers, distributors and end users of compressors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic tools and allied products. Our role is to provide unbiased advice on legislation, technical standards, education, compliance, safety and environmental matters that affect suppliers and users of compressed air and vacuum systems. BCAS Structure There are tiers of activity within BCAS: BCAS Board Permanent Committees The board is made up of the President, Vice President, Last Past President and Executive Director plus elected and co-opted seats. Each group member has a permanent place on the board. There are 5 board seats elected by the membership and the remainder are co-opted for skills required within BCAS. Elected & Co-opted board members stand down at the first change of president but may be re-elected/re-co-opted to serve on the board. BCAS also has sector committees, special committees and working groups, which are set up from time to time to address specific issues. The chair of the committee is selected by ballot of the sector committee. The current committees are: Compressor Committee Low Pressure & Vacuum Committee Air Treatment & Applications Committee Distribution Committee Training & Development Committee Statistics Committee In addition, BCAS plays a crucial role in upholding standards and advising its members about changing legislation and standards to ensure compliance and safety within the industry. It is also an active member of Euris to lobby on UK matters , Pneurop to lobby on European legislation, BSI and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Crucially, BCAS is an independent source of advice and technical help to ensure that compressor equipment, its installation and maintenance is energy efficient, compliant and safe. BCAS is calling on compressed air users to save energy from their compressed air system with the 10% Taskforce.
