My passion in life is to support and inspire women and girls of all ages throughout the mothering journey. As a trained counsellor who's needed counselling myself in the past, I talk openly about my own struggles having suffered an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. In my experience, we have been repeatedly failed by inadequate and disjointed services so my goal is to ensure that the voices of women will finally be heard in the mental health system. Women and girls with complex mental health problems, especially those who have suffered abuse and violence, are in need of specialist support and this cannot be purely clinical. This is why I set up my charity Motherwell which offers community-based projects for vulnerable mothers - giving them access to a support network and bridges the gap in services for women’s wellbeing across Cheshire. My charity is run by women for women and is open to all mothers, whatever their stage in life. I’m a strong believer that information empowers people and I work hard to drive forward change so that our voices are heard.

Here you will find out about Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s governing body, the Combined Fire Authority (CFA), organisational structure, locations and contacts, constitutional and governance and our commitment to equality and diversity. As a fire and rescue service, our main responsibilities are not limited to firefighting. We also respond to a wide range of incidents, increasingly those that involve our rescue capability. As well as responding locally, we can be called to help on either a national or international level with our Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and International Search and Rescue (ISAR) teams. We also work closely with other emergency services and our local authority partners to deliver an emergency response and protect our communities. We carry out an enforcement role to ensure members of the public are safe and businesses are operating in a safe and legal manner. While we always respond in an emergency situation. One of our priorities is to make the public aware of risks, helping make them safer in order to avoid accidents from happening in the first place. This is done through our community safety and education programmes.

We offer nursery provision in our Daisy and Sunflower classes, in addition to the 190 places in our Reception, Key Stage 1 and DSP classes. We pay close attention to the different groups within our school to ensure that all - regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity or background - are given every opportunity to contribute, learn and achieve to the highest standards. Two Queens is an artist-run gallery and studios situated in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. With the ambition of providing a centre for experimental modes of arts production, exhibition and exchange, Two Queens is dedicated to establishing an agenda for new activity in the city and across the region. We want to invest our energies into collaborations with new institutions and individuals from outside of Leicester whilst also assisting in the development of artists working within the city. Two Queens was established in 2011 by recent graduates from De Montfort and Loughborough Universities, and has been programming regular exhibitions and events since March 2012. Two Queens is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Donations towards the costs of running our public programmes are always welcomed.
