In March 2020 all of our lessons and courses were moved online, and we are happy to report that our students have overwhelmingly given our virtual classrooms a huge thumbs up, as we have been voted the best online course two years in a row, both in General English and in Business English. We have been able to maintain the same high quality of teaching that we had for so many years in our face-to-face classrooms, and have added even more online study materials. All of our materials are tailor-made for each individual student, catering for the student’s specific needs rather than following a course book. Our lessons include speaking practice, writing exercises, authentic reading materials, audio, videos, grammar exercises, vocabulary games, pronunciation exercises, and a huge variety of other things, and students are given a wide range of self-study materials so that they can continue learning and recap lessons in between classes. And, of course, we offer daily mini English lessons in our free FB group, as well as lots of different kinds of vocabulary-building games. Each student is unique and works at their own pace in their own way, and here at SB English Language Courses we celebrate and support their differences.

We now work with many schools throughout Lancashire and have built an outstanding reputation amongst our customers. For the last eight years we have worked closely with local authorities, the private sector and charities to support people into employment both by direct recruitment and working to upskill those wanting to progress into front line vacancies such as refuse collection, street sweeping, grounds maintenance staff, school caretakers and office cleaning. More recently we have been working across a range of sectors helping people gain employment in the hospitality sector, warehousing and production and office work. We do this in a number of ways but all of our support and the training we promote is free of charge to our customers and clients which creates a truly unique recruitment model. There is no training fee, no recruitment fee, no management fee, simply NO Fee! We want to work with organisations who wish to recruit new employees and upskill and recognise their employees and key workers through providing accredited qualifications to assist their personal development and future opportunities. The Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) was established as the National Association of Theatre Nurses, NATN, in 1964. As a membership organisation and registered charity AfPP works to enhance skills and knowledge within operating departments, associated areas and sterile services departments. AfPP aims to enhance the quality of care and patient safety in the NHS and the independent sector throughout the UK. In April 2005 NATN changed its name, structures and systems in recognition of the significant changes that were happening in the healthcare sector and the wider perioperative environment and to accommodate the growing numbers of Operating Department Practitioners and Healthcare Support Workers who were previously not eligible for full membership. AfPP also works to encourage the exchange of professional information between members and co-operation with other professional bodies. These include the Departments of Health in the UK, the Perioperative Care Collaborative, the Medical Royal Colleges, Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) of all four member countries, Skills for Health and many of the British Safety Institution Committees and other groups set up to discuss specific issues related to perioperative care.
