Join us for our Friday Night Dine In - How to cook Filipino Food This hands on workshop led by our exprienced cookery chef, Nicola Becci will give you the skills and knowledge to cook 6 different recipes.  We'll enhance the evening with some history and cultural knowledge including Filipino eating etiquette.  The meals are based on a vegetarian diet which can be adapted at home and do contain allergens (soy, sesame). Please advise if you have a vegan diet or specific allergen. At the end of the cooking session we will eat together as a group This event includes full list of recipes for all meals and a free meal kit to cook at home. £10 per ticket

We will discuss menopause-related nutrition, focus on foods rich in calcium and vitamin D to support bone health, and emphasise the food groups that ensure a high intake of vitamins, minerals, and fibre We will also look at how to include whole grains to promote heart health, which is particularly important as the risk of heart disease increases after menopause and discuss the benefits of soy and soy products, as they contain phytoestrogens, which may help balance hormones. We will have a cooking demonstration as part of the workshop, discuss meal planning and have a Q&A with our nutrition expert At the end of the cooking session we will eat together as a group This event includes sample recipes and a free meal kit to cook at home. £5 per ticket

FLOUR MORE THAN JUST SELF RAISING HOW TO USE OTHER TYPES OF FLOURS Nadja-Maurina Koerner  Mission Nutrition Teff, coconut, Tsampa, Almond Flour and amaranth flour are types of alternative flours that offer a range of benefits.  Teff flour is high in protein, iron, and fiber, making it a great addition to a healthy diet. Coconut flour is low-carb and gluten-free, making it a popular choice for those with dietary restrictions.  Amaranth flour is also high in protein and is a good source of calcium and iron. Tsampa is known for its high fibre and protein content, making it a filling and nutritious addition to meals. It also has a low glycemic index, which means it helps regulate blood sugar levels.  These and other flours can be used in a variety of dishes, from baked goods to savory meals.  In this workshop we will have tasters of food that can be made using these flours and recipes you can use at home £5 deposit for workshop which will be refunded on attendance

The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) is usually a one-year pre-university qualification that provides students with an entry route to an overseas university. Entry Requirements For entry onto the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualification students must have successfully completed secondary school education. Students must also meet the English language entry requirements of: • IELTS minimum score of 4.5 or above OR • GCE ‘O’ Level English D7 or above Alternatively, a student can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered by our Accredited Partner Centre’s.
