On this fun workshop you will revive a traditional skill by learning how to set metal or wooden type to create a set of bespoke greetings cards featuring a personalised message.
In this workshop you&rsquo;ll learn to set your greeting in metal type and use seasonal decorations to print a pack of up to 50 greetings cards, perfect for sending to all your friends and family. You&rsquo;ll print your cards on one of out vintage Adana tabletop printing presses. You can also choose to add from a range of Christmas themed notions and create paper inserts for your cards.

All the equipment and materials you will need are included in the price, unless stated otherwise, along with light refreshments.&nbsp;

In this 3-hour workshop, Lou Davis will take you through how to make a gelatin (vege-gel) printing plate which can be used to print beautiful and colourful works of art.&nbsp;We&rsquo;ll cover a number of techniques including using stencils and masks, adding texture with botanicals and found objects and using household items for mark making and using home-made foam stamps.
We&rsquo;ll then take our completed prints and use them to create unique greeting cards.&nbsp;You will take home a set of up to 10 hand-printed, one-off greeting cards with envelopes. But if they no longer serve their storytelling purpose, that needn&#39;t be the end of their creative life.On this 2.5 hour taster workshop, artist Panna Chauhan will show you how to repurpose a pre-loved book into a beautiful sculpture.&nbsp;Panna discovered - and developed - her love for book folding while rehabilitating. The mindful process of gently folding and bending the pages of the damaged books she found helped her healing. She has since exhibited her book sculptures, and will share some of these with you on the day.All materials are provided. On this Introduction to monoprinting workshop with Edinburgh artist Suzanne Kemplay, you will explore ways of creating simple, striking images to print onto a range of papers. 
This is a hands-on, spontaneous and fun workshop where you will learn the basic skills of monoprinting, one of the most versatile forms of printmaking. It produces unique and playful results, making it ideal for anyone new to printing or art. 
Build your confidence by learning how to create your own images using simple mark-making, and different textures and techniques to make a unique image as you layer colours, create shapes and texture, adding and removing ink as you go. Once you’ve created your monoprint you will take a second print revealing your ghost image.

Introduction to monoprinting

This CPD accredited Threat Management TACCP course is typically completed as a bolt-on to the BRCGS Vulnerability Assessment for Food Fraud (VAFF) course, though it can be attended as a stand alone course.
