Discover the magic of mosaic making&nbsp;with Jacky Cox of Mossy MosaicMosaicing fits in perfectly with our vision of a world where recycling, repurposing and upcycling is the norm. Jacky works with a variety of materials including glass, recycled crockery and natural materials like slate and sea glass, and finds the whole creative process from sourcing to creating absorbing, relaxing and mesmerising.&nbsp;On this 3 hour session, Jacky will help you create two mosaic items using methods you can do at home. You will begin by designing creating a grouted drinks coaster, and while this is drying, you will design a beautiful hanging heart using vitreous (&#39;swimming pool&#39;) tiles. Alternatively, you can create a beautiful coaster or heart using a selection of vintage tea cups - you may have some you wish to bring which are chipped or broken, or hold a special memory.You will learn about mosaic equipment, including tile cutting techniques for vitreous tiles using a wheel cutter; grouting; and how to stay safe while mosaicing.&nbsp;You will take home two mosaic pieces, and have learned all you need to know to start your mosaicing journey.The price includes refreshments, such as a selection of speciality teas and complimentary glass of fizz served up with cake or savoury snack.<hr fr-original-style="" style="border-color: var(--border-muted); border-style: solid; clear: both; break-after: page; user-select: none; box-sizing: border-box;">More information&nbsp;
The Arienas Collective private classes are run from our supportive and welcoming home-based environment within a Georgian mews home in Edinburgh&rsquo;s City Centre New Town. We invite you to join us, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in being creative.Access to all the equipment you will use is included in the price.&nbsp;Private classes can be themed to suit the occasion, such as a special birthday, hen do, or family celebration. Just let us know when booking and we can discuss the options.On full day classes you are welcome to bring your own lunch. Alternatively, there is a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, caf&eacute;s, supermarkets and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. We can also provide a buffet style lunch if you prefer, just let us know your dietary requirements and budget, and we&#39;ll source some options.PLEASE NOTE: Our workshop space is on the first-floor of a Georgian mews building and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Having worked with a wide variety of clients from school-age students to senior executives, she has been designing and running workshops, seminars and classes in person or via web events since she left long commutes and corporate roles behind in 2014 when she created her first two businesses. This course is for qualified and experienced assessors looking to take the next step in their careers by becoming a qualified Internal Quality Assurer. This qualification allows you to gain the knowledge required and is suitable for you if you don’t have access to assessors, haven’t started the role of an IQA or your Awarding Organisation do not require you to have the full award.
You will attend 4 workshops (delivered via Zoom) and will submit 2 assignments.
This course will enable you know:
The context and principles of IQA and how you can uphold them in your centre
How to plan IQA activity
The different techniques you can use to monitor quality
How to maintain and improve standards of delivery and assessment in your centre
The legal and regulatory requirement relating to internal quality assurance



Further Information
After completing this course, you can progress to completing the additional unit Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment. What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (just a few minutes a day, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  This isn’t just a one-off workshop; it’s a journey of growth and connection.
