This course enables participants to develop essential patient management skills that are necessary for identifying and managing the safe care of a patient requiring cardiac catheterisation.
Following attendance, candidates will be able to record an ECG correctly and start to develop interpretation skills. The course includes supervised practice in recording a 12 lead ECG.
The course is aimed at everyone working in health and social care that makes decisions for people who may lack capacity and who require a knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and, specifically, the issue of deprivation of liberty safeguards (DOLS).
This half day course is designed to help relatively inexperienced managers and supervisors to manage their staff effectively. Alternatively it can be run as a day session and incorporate elements of the Managing the Difficult Staff member course. For voluntary and community organisation participants the course could include dealing with difficult volunteers as well as paid staff.
