<p fr-original-style="" style="font-size: 16px; color: var(--text); box-sizing: border-box;">Choose to make greetings cards, postcards or bookmarks with your own personalised message. You may want to bring along a short quote or sentiment, a sentence is perfect, but we&rsquo;ll have plenty of ideas on hand to inspire you too.</p>

<p fr-original-style="" style="font-size: 16px; color: var(--text); box-sizing: border-box;">You&rsquo;ll set your chosen metal type and print it on one of our Adana tabletop presses. These portable machines are perfect for the hobby printer and a great way to get started in letterpress printing. We&rsquo;ll show you the basics of how to set the press up for printing, how to register your print perfectly and how to clean everything down at the end of the session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When the sun sets it doesn&rsquo;t mean that you need to stop taking photographs. The Night Time Experience is designed for photographers who understand the fundamentals of exposure and now want to explore creativity in a different way.</p>
<p>A tripod is a must for night-time photography as we look at different ways you can use the available light from the street, vehicles or even the stars to illuminate a scene and create a terrific image that you would want to share.</p>
<p>The workshop is very much reliant on the dry weather as we will usually be working with long exposures and some aspects, such as star trails, require a cloudless evening so whilst the agenda for the session isn&rsquo;t fixed, the techniques you will learn can be applied to many other forms of low light photography.</p>
<p>To get the most benefit from this workshop you will need to understand how to use the manual functions on your camera. If you are unsure, we would recommend you attend the Switch to Manual session first.</p>

<li>The timing for this workshop is flexible on the conditions, it will last somewhere between 3 and 4 hours.</li>
<li>Ensure your camera batteries are fully charged and consider having a spare</li>
<li>An empty memory card, we&rsquo;ll take about 150 photographs during the session.</li>

<p>Cyan Clayworks is an artist-run, non-for-profit studio and teaching space. This two hour workshop is aimed at adult beginners who would like an introduction to making ceramics. Firstly you will be able to make and decorate an unique set of handmade tiles using coloured slips; creating colour, pattern and texture. Each person will be introduced to wheelthrowing; we will take you through the basics of each stage and everyone will make a small pot each. Your pieces will be finished, fired and glazed for you ready to collect a few weeks later. Like all our courses, class sizes are limited so lots of hands-on support. The price is &pound;45 per person, inclusive of booking fee, materials, preparation, glazing and firings.</p>

<h2>Course Details</h2><p>Overview of the CITB TWSTC Course
This course complements the Temporary works coordinator training course (TWCTC) and is designed to provide training for those undertaking the role of temporary works supervisor (TWS), as defined in BS 5975:2019. The rationale for the TWSTC is to set and raise standards across the industry, and to enable a transferable knowledge base between employers to avoid unnecessary supplementary training.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, delegates should hold, or be about to hold, the role of a temporary works supervisor. 

Assessment
The examination paper is compulsory and consists of 25 multiple-choice questions selected by CITB. 

It forms the basis of assessing whether a delegate has achieved a sufficient level of understanding to be awarded the Temporary works supervisor training course (TWSTC) certificate. 

The examination lasts for 30 minutes and must be completed within this time. 
The examination is open book.
The examination pass mark is 72%.

Length of Course
This course is designed to be completed in one day. Delegates are required to attend the full day (seven hours) and pass the end-of-course assessment to be eligible for certification. 

The natural progression from this course would be to the Temporary works coordinator training course (TWCTC) if duties allowed.

We&rsquo;ll cover everything you need to know, including how to your designs become stencils that will print multiple times, how to set up your screen, mix ink, and register your prints so you get a great result every time.
